ok, that was, ummm, rude?... cheating?... an uncharacteristically brief entry?... maybe not brief, but short?... anyway, I was pressed for time (among other things) and, well, I did share, aye?... the next paragraph is not a rerun, only almost...

well, there is a thin line (often missed) between seriousness and silliness when no harm is intended and there is no harm intended in my heart or words, so I'll trust you to understand (and thank you repeatedly when you do)... still, I kinda feel it might have been unfair to the wonderful inspirations I found in my browsing in the last day or few to pop them into that last entry, so I thank mudgirl for the understanding smile she hopefully have if she finds and reads me and I can blame seanbaby for the sophomoric mood and humor cuz the baby has a great site that's fun (in spite of the pop-ups) and stupid at the same time and while I am rambling semi-coherently on barely related tangents, I really do enjoy 333's lounge act (and have for years, though I don't get back to it enough) and (yes, another and, just cuz) if you've read me a long time, then you know z0tl amuses and haunts and inspires and endears me when I make time to read him... and they really do all deserve a mention without the poop scoop and here they have it, well, almost... 2501 is new to me, but is a diary marked for revisit (as are hundreds of others, maybe thousands, but no less respectfully and well-intended... as soon as there is time and I sincerely hope there will be in this life)...

so if yesterday's placement was in any way unpleasant (hey, you didn't have to smell it ya know... uh-oh, my sense of humor knowns few bounds, if any, and it sense to be ready for anything tonight... but this was supposed to be a seriously serious sentence, so begone silly parentheses), hopefully today's mention with the respect and praise you deserve is more pleasant for you (and you too)...

and speaking of respect and praise (yes, we were, seriously, even though my sarcastic sense of humor is on and silly lights are flashing), all religious thought aside (as if there was any), I really like this this...

but what about life offline, you hopefully ask...

this week after a no-sleep day I slept immediately upon getting home the following day and then was more awake yesterday when I got home from work so I browsed and rambled a bit in places elsewhere (and provided you with the entry mentioned enough already here) and so i got only a few hours sleep before heading out last night to what has become the weekly gathering of co-workers who are perhaps attempting to become friends or at least social and professional contacts outside of the primary job (and there's a moving day and a movie night planned for us for tomorrow) and we did a drum circle (using some Gabrielle Roth music and on a side note, perhaps the fact that there are no trained teachers of the dance-trance method in Florida should tell me something about why I am mostly alone and feeling mostly dead for so long here?... something to ponder) and it was fun and relaxing... then we went to eat and the choice was ribs (I went along with the choice cuz my tastebuds love ribs, even though my intelligence questions the choice especially after an exercise that is supposed to get us in touch with our sensitivity and life and yeah, incongruity?) and then we stopped for ice cream and went to work...

that was a fun evening and good night and then it was today... on the way home from work I stopped for a shake and donuts for breakfast (the first time I induged that taste bud in more than a year... and since I have not been getting to the gym lately, this pause for decadence is really in high gear now... I'm not concerned though cuz I feel good for the moment... maybe I intend to join my co-workers who are starting an "eat healthier program this weekend and this is one final splurge... we shall see, huh?)... then I checked mail and found a box... a wonderful box of music (thank you dear Annie and mom) that is one of the most precious gifts I can received (music)... and more profoundly, a wonderful tribute to her mom (as I am guessing this is the music she loved)... so I now have more blues and jazz in my on-hand musical library in the form of Natalie Cole, Frank Sinatra, Dave Brubeck, Manhattan Transfer, Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Shadowfax, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and a few more new to me (which reminds me that you must check out Jen's latest CD cuz she is growing and deserves to be known as well as Norah Jones (I love them both much)...

some people are just too wonderful for words...

and generous too (the child inside grins with the innocent greed that throws us out of bed scurrying as fast as we can to the tree on Christmas morning {or to wherever presents might come on whatever present-giving holiday you might celebrate in your family}... I know I have not known it personally in this life {everybody say "awwww" now}, but I've read about the experience and it sounds so precious and exciting and I feel something like it every time I receive a gift)...

did I wander?... well it's still not a good enough thank you, but thank you and on with this entry, ok?... when I got home I sat my new music next to me and made the CDs and cassettes right at home while I checked my fantasy baseball leagues (teams are currently positioned 4th, 12th, 2nd, 7th, 5th, 8th, and 2nd in the seven leagues... not the best year for this particular game, but fun all the same cuz I enjoy the challenge)... and then Precious woke and the TV went on and I did some browsing on the web and some napping in the big green chair...

very little napping, actually...

a few hours ago Precious left for a barbecue being thrown by the school band and I glanced at the TV and found the Sci-Fi channel had good background stuff to leave on... and I came to ponder TV a bit (while I browsed the web for info and details I'll share with you now)...

I think Sliders was much better when Sabrina Lloyd was in it... in fact, that's one of the reasons I left it on when I found it as I wandered through channels... her replacement is way too macho stupid insensitive for my tastes, but then, that's just my tastes...

speaking of my tastes, if I know that Milla Jovovich was in Resident Evil, I'd have made sure I saw it by now... and now I see it's on tomorroe but I'll be seeing The Manchurian Candidate instead at that time (not the old one, which is #62 on the IMDB charts), but the new one... hopefully it (Milla's movie) will be on again soon...

and with sleepiness calling me to give in now and since I will be awakened to help someone move early tomorrow and have not slept since the day before yesterday, I think, it would behoove me to give in to the sweet slumbers... but first, I shall close this entry with a simple and sincere and gosh darn honest to goodness mushy thought (without any poor-me self-pity please)... while music is one of the best gifts I can receive, there is a precious gift given here at DLand just about every day and, well, I wish my name was cassie so I could join her ring without stretching the reason for belonging there...
