2006-03-11 - 1:49 p.m. the day the Earth went blogMad! suddenly the visitors to this diary have tripled (plus)... it's like winning an academy award or something, at least numerically... maybe the one I've been looking for forever will stumble by today... and the excitement continues to build... seriously, if you want an audience - a much bigger audience for your words, then join blogMad (it's by invitation, so let me know you want an invite) and check out the growing community... if you're not into building a bigger audience (and I know a lot of you are not), then nevermind... though check out the links below for some great (and odd) new places on the net)... our regularly scheduled narcissistic irreverent babbling about this that and the other thing will continue tomorrow... today I am blogmadding like craazzy cuz the good folk of blogmad are giving two for one credits so it's click click click every thirty seconds or so... which is probably what most of you are doing too (I don't mean my regular readers, though it you want lots more people to come by and check your diary journal or blog out, then you really ought to get in on blogmad - it's by invitation only, let me know you want one)... for those techno-savy enough to understand the details, this is what blogMad offers at the moment (in Beta stage): SurfBar (the point of browsing) and soon should have: MadPing (a pinging service) and I hear Phase 2 will see in some mind blowing cool stuff and based on what they've delivered so far, I believe them... as I mention last entry, I babble and browse and play with words... it'll take more than a thirty seconds to figure me out... and more than a few entries, I'd say... anyone who design, you've come to the wrong place... content matters here... and stamina... even if it's irreverent and way over your head... or beneath you (nudge nudge, nyuk nyuk)... can you handle it?... anyway, I will be uploading this entry (as in adding to it as I am apt to do from time to time) as the day goes along... in thirty second spurts, of course... but don't think that I don't notice the diaries, journals, and blogs as they speed by at two per minute cuz I do... and you can too (just look at all the links below)... maybe tomorrow (or the next time I have time and am not obsessed with accumulating credits... hey, it's a new game and you know me and new games... or at least some of you do) I'll actually pause to ponder what I see and read and leave comments, which is, after all, what all this web writing is supposed to be about, isn't it? (philosophical questions will be pondered at some other time)... see, I save every site for some future visitation (though unless I live forever some of the visitations might have to wait until I am actually a ghost, but the intention to revisit and learn about the person behind the site remains)... at first glance some of the sites are excellently cool... informative or creative or spooky or visual or just plain beuaitul somehow... some of the people I would love to meet (love at first glance... at first read... at first site)... some are, well, just odd enough to get cut and pasted below cuz I did a double take and want to see if what I saw was what I think I saw... I know I've been all mysterious about blogmad so far, but if you really want to know, you can find out something about how blogmad came to be as one of the four apostles wrote how blogmad came to be (soon to be known, I suppose, as the gospel according to the selfish bastard ya know)... I can hardly wait for the other three... it's a serious tale, really, no matter how I might appear to introduce it... and after eleven days it's even winning over initial critics... . . and just look at some of the wonders I've seen: and this is where I wandered this week... and this is where I wandered this week... and this is where I wandered this week... and this is where I wandered this week... and this is where I wandered this week... and this is where I wandered this week... and this is where I wandered this week... and this is where I wandered this week... and this is where I wandered this week... and this is where I wandered this week... and this is where I wandered this week... and this is where I wandered this week... and this is where I wandered this week... and this is where I wandered this week... and this is where I wandered this week... and this is where I wandered this week... and this is where I wandered this week... and this is where I wandered this week... and this is where I wandered this week... and this is where I wandered this week... and this is where I wandered this week... and this is where I wandered this week... and this is where I wandered this week... and this is where I wandered this week... and this is where I wandered this week... and this is where I wandered this week... and this is where I wandered this week... and this is where I wandered this week... and this is where I wandered this week... and this is where I wandered this week... and this is where I wandered this week... and this is where I wandered this week... and this is where I wandered this week... and this is where I wandered this week... and this is where I wandered this week... and this is where I wandered this week... and this is where I wandered this week... and this is where I wandered this week... random thoughts: random thoughts on extra stuff (beyond the content):
"If you surveyed a hundred typical middle-aged Americans, I bet you'd find that only two of them could tell you their blood types, but every last one of them would know the theme song from The Beverly Hillbillies." ~ Dave Barry
