I am coming to realize that if you hang too much with people who are not working out daily, you will probably not work out daily... eating dinner out, eating lunch out, picking up dinner on the way home... three days and not a meal from the fridge is no way to live on the poverty level income I currently earn... and to eat so much and so much meat... where are the vegetables, the salads, the lighter foods... I must make my own choices, live my own schedule, make the time for the gym and for home meals...

still, it is very nice to have people with whom to eat and to do things... so even if the day was spent in restaurants and malls, eating and shopping... and even if we do not share the same interests and tastes or high energy levels or desire for optimal fitness... it is still fun to have fun with friends...

so today I browsed around the web (and some new DLand sites) as I mentioned in the last entry and then after everybody woke, we ate at a German restaurant I don't think I've been to before, or at least not in recent years... shnitzle with noodles (there's a song for ya)... we were going to a Greek restaurant, but it is only open for dinner so we went to our second choice... good food, but a pure meat and starch menu... and then we went shopping for Precious (school clothes, tomorrow is more shopping)... I have not been shopping for quite some time, that is, going from store to store in a mall or other places to pick out clothes or anything... years, actually... ummmm, maybe more than a decade?... yes, so true... ok, so I have been a deprived consumer, sigh... some capitilistic pig I am, huh?... I have so failed at conspicuous consumption... existentialism has consumed me...

and once upon a time I actually loved shopping (shhhhh)...

so some five hours later, after roaming a couple of department stores and a mall store (where I bought a T-shirt for $10.50 that said something odd that I don't remember at the moment) and then Old Navy where Precious bought more stuff than at all the other stores combined, Rasputin's leg started acting up bad so we picked up Subway subs for dinner (their new Atkin's friendly wraps are a rip off... a whole lot less food, less bread, so sure they are low in carbs, but the same price as a 6" sub... when we got home we put on Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (Precious brought lots of DVDs with her, yay) and it was good and then we watched the fun stuff on the DVD and now I want to see the third LOTR (look at me use the abbreviation, huh?)...

I still like the Harry Potter movies better (don't throw stones) cuz I've never been a fan of warish movies... so I'm not a big Star Wars fan, sue me... it's personal preference... I would simply rather explore where no one has gone before than fight over it...

we're still having fun though...
