windows update wants to take over my computer again and send me more critical updates and service packs... I wonder if this is just a gimmick MS uses to get more information and control over my computer... it only seems to happen when I delete cookies and empty my temp folder... and it's not that I asked to see if there were any new updates... I just clicked the IE icon and something MS put into their program overrode my preferences that are set to take me to my home page as my start page... I wonder if the Fox will fit on this little laptop (and whether there's enough memory to have bother Fox and MS run at the same time (to compare how wen pages look in both)... F-O-X (name the movie?)... the reference is not the best for a company/product that wants to be the little guy taking on Goliath... is it a sneaky name?...

whatever, the point is I can not do much with the laptop at the moment cuz it's downloading 5.9MB of stuff from MS (and then it's gonna want to reboot)... at least I can tap these keys and put these words into a notepad file so I can pretend we are communicating while the laptop is invaded by MS... updating a computer should not feel like rape, should it?...

ah, I know what I can do... I can update my CD Stack since my current stack is not the current stack that you would see if you clicked to see what my current stack is at this moment, but in a moment, like now, all that's changed and the CD Stack site is updated (as long as DLand lets me)... but now you can click and find the current stack cuz I just typed it up and updated it...

ok, so maybe the last entry I actually wrote (not counting the two test-icular entries prior to this one) didn't tickle any fancies... or maybe you've been busy out there in your lives... silence does not necessarily mean the same thing every time, in fact, silence can mean almost anything except that there's communication going on... but then, not-silence does not mean there's communication going on either... and sometimes, silence communicates lots... volumes, even...

maybe nobody likes to be reminded of the choices they make sometimes...

privately, some of you liked the donuts, which is to be expected in my instinctive psyche if you follow my meandering ways... I love donuts too... especially creme filled... for me, the icing is the best part of the cake...

it was this that woke a bunch of you up it seems (was I pandering for your attention?... perhaps)... maybe I touched more sensitive spots or struck the right chords or something... or maybe I just left more notes in the right bottles last week when I uploaded entries... I suppose that if I knew the secret or reaching you and inspiring you to smile and share your smile with the world (and let me know), then I'd not be pondering pandering for responses and evaluating silences this way...

anyway, you inspire my smiles every time you reach out in any way you reach out... and you oughta know that... so I'm telling you now...

speaking of music (smiles), did anybody else get the sense of sell-out I just got (again) when listening to Jewel's 0304 CD?... if I wanted to listen to a pop-star clone, I'd have put on one of the many pop-star girls making the same sounds saying the same things, ya know?... hopefully she's not losing her mind to the music biz the way Mariah Carey did...

I absolutely love this idea and I again send more appreciation to she who was mentioned in previous entries, perhaps the previous entry if this entry gets uploaded immediately after the entry in which she was mentioned... I love it when I get that weird feeling of wanting to make love to someone site unseen, never met, starting with their mind and working my way out... but back to first the idea this paragraph presented, it reminds me of my CDs stuck in storage and the thousands more vinyl records stuck with them (amongst all the writings and other stuff) and anything that reminds me of that touches me deep enough to wake me, shake me, take me anyway you want me (almost, if you follow the lyrical reasoning) and come to think of it, I had the idea many years ago in the nineties when I was doing everything on my own site without the assistance of all these ready-made community pages that are great ideas I never followed through on (like this one)...

I was happy to find caldwell's brain working and I did not have time to answer the questions there, but was happy to know all of the answers without looking them up... ironically, we were just talking about Magellan at work the other night... well, I was... see, when I get really tired at work I either talk to myself, sing or mumble odd songs, or call out random trivia for anyone who cares to listen... it was a random trivia night... so as I was rounding the Cape of Good Horn, hoping to make it through until morning, various corners of my brain gave shout-outs to bits of trivia that live in there and well, maybe you had to be there, but it kept us all awake...

it started when Bert was telling someone that he wants to get me on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire because he thinks we'd all be rich... obviously he over-estimates my brain... we used to watch that show at work and he claims I get 95% of the questions right on that show... exaggerations and pipe dreams go hand in hand...

anyway, we can thank the same caldwell for this particular test thing that was left over from the previous two entries and shall now be part of this one... this test does not tell us how we sound, but basically where we picked up most of the language we use... make sense?... I don't know where my other 5% went, really...
