2006-02-11 - 6:38 a.m. wandering around again (to be completed) well that last entry was an adventure in political incorrectness (my favorite kind of political)... I hope nobody's blood pressure went up too high... after all, you've got to know when to hold 'em, when to fold 'em, and when to piss on 'em, but especially you've got to know where a writer is coming from (just below the waist)... and in all seriousness, you know how to find out where I'm coming from if you have any doubts or uncertainties (and if you don't, just ask), so we'll just move on to this next entry and see how many of you I can leave dumbfounded and speechless this time... just tell ego to shut up, I always do... so we start out laughing at me, which is always a great sign (for me, at least)... I give the argumentative so much potential fuel for their fire, don't I?... even when I am Memorex... or BASF, for that matter... and speaking of tapes, this entry will return to the scribble files to continue the seemingly never ending job of emptying said files of their contents... never let it be said that I wasted my time copying and pasting a link or a quote or scribbling any notes down anywhere, for all the words come back (and hopefully together) in these sort of entries... so where to begin... of course, so let's this entry begin with one of my favoritest favorites, the vivacious wonder from down under and winner of my own personal contest for who I'd most love to have as my garden gnome, the nefarious, gregarious, and oh so hilarious hissandtell... after delightfully recoiling from her recent entry, I pondered that the how to kama sutra site reminded me of a Barbie Sex site I've forgotten the address to (because it's novelty wore off the moment I found the Real Doll and I've been saving my pennies ever since for a few... of course a few, my partners must have their own)... of course you know this wonderful line of thought by the ever so adorable (and richly sensual) hiss who ensured that I'd be buying all of my dolls (and partners) a unique garden fairy dress just as soon as the pennies add up (as if I needed one more reason to consider moving to Australia, I mean, just look at what's on sale, aye?)... oh, but it's far from all sex and frolic over at the wonderful Chez Hiss there is luxurious lounging around watching sweaty men at work, after all, and I am all for lounging around with beautiful women no matter what they might be looking at)... I tease, I jest, I flirt with catalog girls, and now, I shall be completely serious for a moment so you can quote me in the annals of internet lore for all posterity: If you do not read hissandtell regularly, you are wasting your time on the internet. . there are these links to explore: now link 1 is adventures of the smart patrol, which is an interesting title and possibly a reference to Maxwell or Amy, both of whom I admire, but probably not... after revisiting, we find out that Smart just celebrated his one year anniversary in said blog (and the party is still going on, as the night of the 10th bleeds into the morning of the 11th and what party ends on the day it starts, after all?)... so we should all go flock over and test his paranoia levels by leaving Happy Anniversary wishes (I mean, if a few dozen or hundreds of strangers suddenly showed up at your party, what would you think?... oh, what fun!)... so the universe provides synchronicity once again as I started this entry and pulled the link out of the Scribble files right on time... see, if it's not appreciated, blame it on the universe, because it's sure not my fault, right?... curiously, Smart links link #4 (above) in his pre-anniversary entry, so that gives us a clue as to where I might have found link #4... as for the Patrol itself, well, that's anybody's guess... however I came by it, it's fun to visit... and moving on to link 2, a blogspot blog address copied to my scribbles because the name of the blog is 42... I must have done at least one internet search for the number 42 along the way, so that's probably how I got there and I remember pulling lots of wondering links... besides, the guy is from New Jersey and I've pissed in the Hudson (River) more than once, so we might have met across the water... then comes link 3, give em hell harry (as opposed to the vernacular giveemellarry which could be confusing the anyone names Mel or Larry, if you get what I mean, but that's besides the point).... anyway, Harry is a political site and I find I get more news from internet political blogs than anywhere else, so I try to keep a few political blogs on my list of places to visit each week (or whenever they happen to pop up, like today)... to show you how much I know about politics these days, I am just realizing that Harry is a U.S. Senator, the Senate Minority Leader, no less... I don't know his views and rhetoric well enough to say I support or oppose what he stands for, but I figure I read something there once and saved the link and now it's probably a good idea to keep track of with the minority leader has to say when I want to know about politics... so anyway, Harry, 'arry, or Larry (and Mel) were followed by Shakespeare's Sister at link 4 (and mind you this is not any sort of count down or count up in terms of rating these sites or such, this is just the order in which they were browsed and saved in the scribbles files and it might have been in a single day or a few weeks or longer that this particular list of addresses were left to be listed here together... random is the key word we are going for here... but the ol' Bard dude's sister definitely amuses me and deserves a hearty shout out (not to mention a special award for creative uses for water buffalo dung stories) and has many links a day because it is a collaborative blog... you can see the contributors right up front and someday, if I ever have something interesting enough to say, I'd love to be one... his sister also turned me on to Lance, who I find amusing and not just because he can't resist writing about pretty young actresses getting naked and may be a closet porno giant, but he's funny... but back to my random link list for today's entry, link 5 visits the world of typepad (where coincidentally Lance can be found, which is another diary/journal/blog community, though I don't think typepad , the word, has entered the realm of noun just yet except for it being a proper noun as the name of a place and possible a program... of course it certainly has the right roots if you are one who's ever called your living quarters a pad and most of us who diary, journal, or blog do type our own little world out here on the web)... but now I find Jaaron has moved (ooops, does that show you how long links linger in my scribble files or what?) so reset your linkage and full steam ahead... or not... an offshoot of Jaaron's typepad is link 6, the squid blog (so Jaaron has a blog at his pad, the word pad now taking on a deeper meaning as a noun because it represents a website with a folder structure, not just a web page or series of pages), which also moved and also locked up my browser but good causing a cascading freeze that required a rebooting of the whole system which interrupted and delayed this entry and grumble grumble grumble).... due to the crash, this entry will likely be incomplete and completed sometime tonight because in a very short period of time I shall be leaving for Ft. Lauderdale because we are off to see the Wizard (or actually, we are off to see the Witch, to be more precise as today is the day we have tickets for Wicked and we're all very excited about seeing the show and changing our venue for a day... I would, if I could, take you along via laptop, but the laptop is still sitting over next to the first laptop, both gathering dust and hoping I will get whatever info is on them off of their hard drive before they can no longer retrieve the wonderful writings and graphic images and secrets of the quniverse at all... . ironically, limewire comes up at link 7, ironic because it surely would have crashed the system if the squid didn't because obviously I had exceeded maximum velocity and caused memory to choke on it's own petard... so limewire was probably saved in one of my many dream quests for music as if I have the equipment to actually join a music sharing site and use their software and build a music collection on the computer and make mix CDs and return from the land of the mostly dead (music is definitely a first step along one way out)... . if you ever want to check your facts about something, well, link 8 offers you a fact check website... . and as if it was planned (and it so wasn't, especially since this was originally link 0 and became link 9 when one of the previous links did not work when I tested it), link nine leads us to a site called ninerniner (now if this was so randomly slotted as link 99, that might be a bit spooky... no worries, I had no intention of going beyond single digits with this numeric linking presentation here, which is why the original ten links ended with link 0... see, it all makes sense, there is a weird synchronicity and not any clever planning going on whatsoever)... it says: 24 sites, 245 writers, 3,194 entries and counting... ninerniner is another collaborative web world that focused more on techie stuff (more like vault9 than Shakespeare's Sister, at least that's the sense on first perusal, though there's a lot to peruse and Wander Words leads me to believe there's no specific narrow theme to the Niner's, which gives the community even more appeal for me... in fact, I just signed up... I have no concrete idea why, but I move in abstract ways all the time and this feels like fun... I seem to have a balance of $5 (that they provided) and I am not sure what that means... posting seems to either cost money or pay money, but I don't have time to investigate that just now, so there's more to complete before this entry actually is done... . as you should see by now, more ramble about links 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 will have to wait until I next can sit here rambling on, which will probably be tomorrow because if I do come back to ramble tonight it'll likely be very influenced by the day and not a random browsing entry... . so in closing for the moment in my randomly added random bit of information of the day segment that may have just started, I present to you the following line from yet another up and coming 101 Things About Candoor (Volume 4, I think): #12. You wouldn't believe the amount of wax I can pull out of my ears. anyway, if you haven't had enough of my incessant babbling about this or that or my web wanderings or life in black and white, for that matter, then just wait until tomorrow (or the next entry, whichever comes sooner) and be regaled by still more random linkage, opinionated irreverence, and personal anecdotes from (and about) the corners (and windmills) of the mind imagining that it is actually living the illusion of this life in black and white behind the candoor... somebody's gotta do it...
the page name was already used... sucks, eh?... but what's worse (much much worse, actually) is that DLand adds slashes like this: before apostrophes and other odd places whenever this happens so the writing is ruined without hopefully I got all those slashes out... the ruin linkage, after all... I'll continue updating and fill you in on our day out with the Wicked Witch of the West soon, maybe even tonight... so let's just pretend this entry was up all day, ok? J yes, and it would help if I coded the linkage correctly the first time...
