2006 Candor Communications

2006-12-30 - 11:59 pm.

tonight

ok, there's still a bit more to this, but I'll upload it as I'm falling out now and I did have that "any moment now" sign up here for hours as I was tapping the keys between impromptu naps...

here's what came out so far, tonight...

this makes 1459 entries here behind the candoor... who'd have thought there could be so much to ramble on about in life and black and white... but come to think of it, at least before the last three or four months of semi-ridiculous catching up entries made of scraps and scribbles and not actually written as an entry the way previous entries were written (when I had more private time cuz I worked different hours as opposed to these days when Rasputin is usually sitting on the couch and farting with the TV blaring {or left the room with the TV and lights on} and the mood to lose myself in words is so not there because the distractions are so repetitive), entries here were not always about me, so life in black and white might seem deceptive... it isn't though if you accept that I mean this to be not just my experience of life but also my observation of life around me on and off the internet...

at least I think it's life...

anyway, there are two balloons floating on the ceiling since December 10th... they were part of Precious's 18th birthday party and are shaped, appropriately, like an eight and a one... they just float around up there together occasionally bumping into each other as the air conditioning or heat vents blow them around... and have kept their air for an exceptionally long time for helium filled party balloons... though the one is starting to sag... at the moment the eight has swung into a position so that the high point of one is directly nudged up in the crack where the two circles that make the eight... since the other end of the one is hanging down about two feet from the ceiling (these balloons are about three feet tall), it's actually quite pornographic... especially in the dark as they are shiny metallic silver (the eight) and gold (the one)one day, when I figure out how to connect my phone to the computer, I'll upload a picture so you can see for yourself...

the secret life of party balloons...

earlier, I was falling asleep several times today when I felt like I was missing something and yet did not feel motivated to write or read or do much of anything and so I sat in the big green chair staring at football players banging heads and that didn't seem to be satisfying so I kept returning to the computer and remain in a state of flux (maybe it's an end of year thing)... last night I started a beautiful catharsis with the help of me old friend Harry Chapin in the words and sounds of Verities & Balderdash, Legends of the Lost and Found, and Cotton Patch Gospel and the tears were flowing wonderfully as I was singing badly and feeling almost partly alive again and in tribute to the moment I returned to the land of the mostly dead and filled in a week of entries for May of 2004...

and the excitement continues to build...

Harry used to say that... I think he was being sarcastic... so I was pouring another little piece of my heart out baby over in the land of the mostly dead and decided it was high time I stopped in to pay a visit on people on my friends list over there and I started with those who've commented on my few posts over the past year... it's amazing and beautiful that I can see an online moniker and get all warm and fuzzy just cuz I have meaningful memories of being inspired by words the person behind the internet name, or handle, uploaded to their diaries or journals or blogs...

one ideal example would be dalyrical1 who's been around in my imagination and at diaryland since the early days of candora (and perhaps before)... and even before her, neangel was one I always felt comfortable reading as if we've been long time friends... it's great to find people still updating their lives on the net... keeping in touch was the whole point of my coming to ramble online in the first place... and wandering to find new interesting people became a pleasant pastime...

so I was uploading the previous four comment entries and clicked on a couple of banners... the first took me to Spiffy, who is Sarah and Sarah is Spiffy, at least that's my first impression... I believe it was my first impression a few times already, but you know how it is on the internet when you wander around aimlessly in the middle of the night and leave random comments without really paying close attention to whom you are writing or what you are saying, right?...

I believe I was being sarcastic...

suddenly, from there I found myself gawking at a page called the dead kids of myspace and at first I thought it was some sort of joke or maybe Grateful Dead fans, but then I starting thinking that maybe it was some sort of public service message sight... it probably gets a lot of traffic as people seem to crave bad news... like rubber-necking at a traffic accident... or the popularity of auto racing... or war...

anyway, the other banner I clicked on took me to apathyascend where I found a kind of kinship for the mostlydead party I was throwing so he gets a mention here (and this is more like the old wandering entries, aye?... though I kind of remember them a bit more serious as in sincerity and more humorous as in irreverent... I should probably try to be awake when I do this...

still, I can muster up a serious sincerity cuz I believe it is right around time to say Happy Birthday to Bobby Burgess... he is one of the luckiest boys on the internet... he has the love of the one and only cutething (who's words and pictures and thoughts and ideas I've adored as long as I've been at diaryland), but also has Kirstin Dunst look-alikes reaching eight orgasms in his shower... no really, I am seriously sincere here...

I see you looking at me funny...

and just recently in a comment at z0tl's (at least I think it was at z0tl's), I was remarking about the sebaceous cyst in the center of my forehead just about my brow line and how I tell the kids at word that it's my third eye that tells me whether they are telling the truth or lying and it works with amazing regularity to get most kids to open up either cuz they believe me or they get the joke... Bobby is the bees knees, or at least their ankles... whether he is exposing us to his sordid fantasies or demonstrating his irresistible charms, his is the kind of shtick comedians in the world famous hotels in the locally famous Catskills mountains in what city dwellers colloquially call upstate New York have spent centuries searching for... but I really think he must have known the cop was listening to Nirvana...

and even more seriously, Bobby has been blogging since before the word blog was invented... I believe I first stumbled across his unique brand of entries (at least they were unique back then) back in the nineties (or right at the turn of the Millennium) when I was writing in my own a journal of sorts... whether he influenced the rapidly disappearing z0tl or not is for z0tl to determine, but I know he had some influence on the birth of the funda, though paternity tests were inconclusive... and he exchanges CDs for those with computers with the capability (see me sorrowfully glancing up at my computer)... ultimately, he is brilliant... after all, how many people do you know have their own FA...

most of the humor requires some prior knowledge, not that they are inside jokes, but they might be... clicking on the links should be enough for you to get it, though some investigation might be required in some cases and this offer is void in areas that have no sense of humor... but this is the kind of web wandering report, albeit brief and sluggish cuz I'm falling fast asleep (no reflection on the memories or people who inspired them or the websites mentioned herein), that I have been missing here...

finally, till tomorrow, sarkasmo has been open on my desktop to remind me I was browsing (yeah, that's what I used to call it... remember when I browsed?... actually I still do, a lot of it at myspace, but I just don't blog about it as much as I used to... do you browse?)... yeah, so it's often helpful to know where I left off... she (sarkasmo) has a fun name... so let's see what my just got out of bed and between sleep and wake simple mind tells me about her (it's an instamatic snapshot or first glance shout out as my eyes randomly see whatever my eyes might see as they blink open)... she knits... she draws... she has cats... she lives where it's cold and snowy... she might be a witch as she has a Darren in her life... she has a camera... Darren looks friendly, if that's Darren... she looks mischievous, if that's her... I wonder if people call her Red... she might live not too far from my one of my favoritest people, Dandy... I think she might be Canadian... scary, aye?... her blog title amuses me: I forget what eight was for and so does it's subtitle: Ecky ecky ecky ecky pakang zoom-foing.... she may understand cartoon... she makes lookits... Happy Birthday to Darren's grandma on Monday...

ok, I just clicked on her profile (yeah, cheating) and she has more blogs (see me getting excited) and Happy Birthday sarkasmo cuz it has to be somewhere around now)... I love it, one is a family blog... I wish I had a family that blogged (heck, I wish I had a family) so we could so that... I love the name: Distance is Relative... sarkasmo is a genius at naming things... and she hacks (or haxxes) like I do to learn stuff but she has a blog for it (great idea... I just threw a third column into behind the candoor on impulse one day by tweaking the homemade HTML in the dark... I still don't know CSS or Java or Perl or much of anything other than basic HTML in a Notepad file)... the learning center in my brain likes sarkasmo...

and suddenly finding myself moving right along as I always seem to do, I'm noting to check out lazyiguana when I have more time cuz being the only sane person left in Miami sounds like something I can relate to... and he has one of those country things I've been meaning to try out... the only hesitation (or maybe it's more accurate to say my primary hesitation) about adding stuff like that is concern over how much it might slow or even stop my page from loading on older computers or slower connections... maybe I need an experimental blog too (yes, another... I don't know how many that makes... several dozen, at least, but only a couple of dozen or so are what we'd call active, right?)...

it's about time for a moving right along from this entry too, so in conclusion, I then I wandered over to Gmail... it's been a long time since I've checked my Gmail... maybe it's been a whole year... I forgot I had Gmail, actually, until Bobby just reminded me... and I realized that I have more than one Google account as the browser went bonkers and crashed (see what I mean about too much fun eye candy gadgety stuff?... I'm not the only one with an ancient computer ya know, there are five right here in this space in which I live), but luckily, it did not take the OS with it this time so here we are, ready to say g'nite in the middle of the morning...

until later, I think I'll nap now...
