in my continuing process of bringing you the best of the madness in my mind and on the web, not to mention the dust mites that flow through our orifices when we are least suspecting, this entry shall be the random skips and snaps of links and lunks dropped into my scribble files over the past few weeks... what sense may come may be purely accidental, but amusement is sure to be found in the linkage if you have the time...

first, I direct you to the celebration that may still be going on in some parts of the world (and in some pants too) and even though the writer leaves out what may be the most important point, the song, it was fun to celebrate the sixtieth birthday of the bikini...

not to be suggestive any more than is helpful, I also found this great idea about what you can do with your unused instrument...

and because it makes so much sense and is so misunderstood, therein tickling or inciting minds to open or at least react if they will not open, I quote Galileo:

ironically, at the moment I read that quote to my roommates, Rasputin rushed into the room saying "What?"... though I believe he was referring to what Ross and Rachel said on yet another re-run of Friends that Precious was watching for the umpteenth time and not what I had said, therein inadvertently emphasizing the forgo their use reference...

yes, the Church of Friends is worshipped in their world...

this life in black and white behind the candoor is seldom at a loss for irony which is one big reason it�s so much fun to live here, but then, anywhere is what you make of it and I tend to carry an ample supply of irony (not to mention irreverence and the occasional profound quotation) in my head and that stuff just seems to fall out whenever I need it most...

meanwhile, I would like to find time to watch Dead Like Me and Eureka, two new shows on the Sci-Fi channel (though the former is in reruns as it originated on the Showtime channel) on Tuesday nights, but I don�t usually keep to a schedule well (which is why I look for these sort of shows years later in the library on DVD and I�m still waiting for the third season of The Dead Zone to come out because I enjoy Stephen King and strange conspiracy theories and I also enjoy looking at Nicole Deboer) and I am hoping they don�t conflict with Precious� favorites House and American Idol which come on Tuesday night also, alas...

and if I asked this before then you have yet another chance to answer for yourself or anyone reading, but should I worry about being a spring baby or continue seeking enlightenment without worry?... I prefer the second task, and yet, as I live and breathe, I believe that searching for something that already exists in my head is an act of desperation to find sharing and fend off loneliness bought in a five and ten cent store (or dollar store, counting for inflation), so the seeking I do is through memory and that hopefully radiates outwardly in all directions as being expansive is the goal of the moment (life too) and centered is the goal of all time (now too)...

and suicide is so much the opposite of all that...

I crave life and all the more in recent years, the shared life (hey, there�s a name for a TV show revolving around a relationship) as I�ve not been sharing much more than the surface for some time now except in words online and occasionally on the phone and if you don�t know by now how limited that is then you may still be fooling yourself and I don�t want to burst your bubble about long distance relationships but Rasputin knows too well how those things can go... as do I, which is why I don�t invest in them anymore no matter how much I long for or crave... it is the seeking, anyway, as much as the fulfillment, that defines me and makes love real...

that I am, that I seek, that I love... words to live by that I believe may have come from her

so many wise and wonderful people online feed my psyche and keep the flame of hope alive in my heart... you�ve seen me link and link and link my influences and inspirations (amidst the odd irreverent linkages) many times if you read here regularly and the new RealTime� blog has a growing list of deeper influences for your perusal (please do not feel left out if you have not appeared there yet, I don�t have the time to really clear my mind and be as accurate in my thank you notes and linkings as I would like to be and bless you for understanding that and slapping me upside the head with a note or call too)... sometimes, often even, linkage happens quite randomly (especially when clearing out scribble files as I�ve been doing for the past seventeen or eighteen or however many entries)...
