sometimes a diary is more than a diary, sometimes it's an event (but don't let that spoil your party if your party is a different sort of party, ok?... I'm just trying to wake us up a little tonight)...

so I turned on Saturday night cartoons when I got home and the usual fare was there (have you noticed that cartoons have become more and more directly and openly adult oriented in the last decade or so... I mean, as opposed to the subtle innuendos and flashes of references designed to leap right past the little kid's heads that were some of my favorite parts of the old toons (know what I mean?)...

and there appeared Drawn Together... now I feel fairly certain that probability dictates that there are other even more playfully shocking cartoons out there and I love some of them, Drawn Together caught me by surprise... and the commercials for it are as babbly as any of my entries (so you know that appealed to my egocentric tastes)... if you haven't caught it, it's a reality show... yes, a cartoon reality show... and better yet, the characters are drawn to closely resemble cartoon icons like Superman and Betty Boop and others you'd probably recognize... it was not the greatest show (I've seen many better scripted and drawn animated shows), but it was a pleasant surprise (and not too many things surprise me in this world anymore) and I was happy to be reminded that I think there are some creative geniuses devoting their creativity and time and energy to the world of toons and I love them for it...

I obviously need a mate... I spend the latter portion of my nights rambling on in words destined for the web or I vegetate into old TV, movies, or cartoons... and besides, I am showing distinct signs of matelessitis and advanced mateless disorder as exemplified by rabid mental drooling and fantastic flights of fancy for no apparent reason other than to distract people from the obvious hunger oozing from my pheremones (or is it the unsightly bulge in my pants)... it's really quite unacceptible in civilized society, which is why I try to stay away from civilized society whenever possible...

and I found proof that I would be a perverted old man if I ever changed my mind and decided to grow old (though I doubt I will, so I will probably be the most perverted child-at-heart in the vegetable patch (or old age home)... I was suddenly mesmerized (and quite pleasantly stimulated) by the lips (and I think eyes, but I'll have to look closer next time) of the girl on the left in the SpongeBob Squarepants Movie commercial... I know, she's probably like seven... ok, maybe fourteen, but she's adorable... mouths do that to me (so Precious turns on Lizzie McGuire and the Miranda character (played by Lalaine Vergara, a name I think will be well worth remembering) has just such an expressive mouth... and then Total Recall comes on and there's another... so that's why I hide myself away during these periods of matelessness, I don't want to encourage my inner pervert (there's one in us all, in case you didn't know)...

before you go getting the wrong idea, desperation, the common outcome of this malady and dangerous part of knowing thy inner perv, is not something I succumb to easily and have not in some years (except after much drink and extreme stupidity, or at least a strong blow to the head and a prolonged pity party, none of which I engage in long enough today to allow the succumbing to happen so your daughters and small pets are safe)...

I imagine you are relieved, huh? (glancing at ceiling)...

I figured this might be a welcome change from the usual babbling I do about dirty kitchen counters and laziness and lethargy...

I just hope pedophiles don't take me too seriously...

if I have appauled anyone, then I've accomplished something tonight... we need more excitement around here on our Saturday nights and it's about time my inner toon woke up (did you know I was part toon?... somewhere in my original front page {originally written somewhere in 1995 and updated and revised many times along the way, but not touched since maybe 2002 or earlier so links may be gone and current events are not very current anymore, but there is a sure fired way to get to know me if you how the hours and hours it'll take to run through all the babbling bushes of massive missives and links... anyway, I thought I mentioned it... you're under no obligation to go there [or anywhere... in case you didn't realize that] and can keep all the secrets you find all to yourself if you like, but I thought you'd like to know}... I'm not always selfish after all {as I scamper off to find more fun on the wings of giggles and grins}, a-hem)...
