the real deal

I am still loving these quotes and the idea of putting quotes in a profile cuz I bookmarked the profile (and how many profiles have you bookmarked?... actually, an embarrassingly large number, huh?) and that means I'm gonna be browsing through favorites one of these days and people might start regretting the fact that they were listed there (dontcha just love self-deprecating humor?... well, you try spending childhood years in Brooklyn without it, I dare ya)... I hope no one was too distracted by the Marxist doctrine in the previous entry, I really don't think communism is is a useful theology, at least not for humans... at least not yet... personally, I'd vote for Bob (as in What About Bob?, you know?)...

anyway, it's time to ramble on about things more dear to my heart, like you... and thanks to another great diarist from that great northwestern rainforest (it seems I keep finding people I love to read from there... maybe the area has more computers per square mile than anywhere else or something... or maybe there really are more cool writing-type people around there than anywhere else, but anyway), I have somewhere to imagine going for Halloween... if only it was so easy to find stuff to do around here, but then, this is a tourism-related city, and small, and the deep south, and narrow, and there is just not as much to do around here as I'd like... locals kind of detest (I know, strong word, but just ask them) the tourist stuff (I can still enjoy the heck out of most of it, but the novelty does wear off after a few hundred visits to the same places and it's gotten to the point where you need a second job to be able to afford the annual passes), so it's challenging to find locals who enjoy the fun around here... and if you don't think I've tried, well, you haven't looked around my web world enough yet (though I do not actually check most of the groups I created years ago when I had great hopes for finding like minds online and forming online communities with communications and interactions and friendships and maybe even meet-ups and all sorts of fun... dreams die hard, and sometimes they don't die at all... maybe I should check this out more often, but that only leads me to realize I have so few people to run around with as most everyone I know are homebodyheads)...

of course I digress... it's what I do best... and now, in my continuing effort to bring you proof that I am an enlightened being worth reading and writting home to mom about (I learned this in the hornblowing class I took when I got out of high school, be clever and silly when introducing something that sort of resemble self-praise and maybe you won't come off as an egotistic idiot... of course if you explain what you are doing it just might defeat the purpose, so don't), I bring you yet another one of the random comments I leave as I wander around the web... this one was even praised by a genius (hornblowing rule number two is always use any corroborating evidence {like praise, even if it's stretched} to support the contention that you are amazing in whatever way you are subtly suggesting you might be and rule two and a half is always assure readers that the source of the praise is a genius, or at least amazing herself, or himself for that matter)... anyway (and not forgetting hornblowing rule number three, which is simply, when quoting yourself always edit it, or let someone else edit it, to make the quote even better), I read this entry (about why men tend to not like strong women) and suddenly felt inspired to write the following:

a random stranger (that'd be me) passes through for the first time inspired to say something... I think it is not that men do not like strong women, it is that weak men do not like strong women... it is weakness, insecurity, fear of facing self and truth and life that makes one fear a strong, determined, self-directed person... most people might be afraid to be, some afraid to follow, and some ready to blame their fears on others who dare to lead... but whether we like it or not, everything changes, no matter how afraid of change most people might be... the few who understand this ask the questions no one wants to hear... or propose answers only they understand.

of course it was not meant to be profound, so if it appears in any way profound, then that's even better, right?... don't ask me to explain, because if you ask me to explain, you miss (or missed) the point... of course I would love to discuss this with strong women (or men without guns or clubs or anyone who doesn't bring fists, ok?), but I probably won't write much about it just now as I am still groggy cuz I just woke up and still haven't cleaned the stuff out of the corners of my eyes so the world is a little blurry and I must focus on getting to work on time which means doing some basic stuff in the bathroom and kitchen and that means I'll be leaving this entry soon, ready or not...

but before I go, I just must pass along this site that, at first glance, seems to be about music (at least it played music for me and had other music to browse through)... and the lyrics were there too and the look reminded me of my old site and so I felt right at home... and the fact that I received an embarrassingly wonderful coment with that link in it has me still feeling the feeling that can only be summed up by these words: my goose bumps have goose bumps... if you've ever felt that way, then you know what I mean... if you have not, then my one wish for you is that you get there before you die... there's no thank you enough to appreciate it, so you just beam with all the teeth you've got and kind of glow... that's what I was doing as I nodded off to enjoy dreamland earlier today... it's a wonderful life...

meanwhile, outside of my head, the world goes on... and that's why this diary is here, to welcome you into my head (and life) and give us the opportunity to share... I hope you enjoy your reading here and find a smile or few... and if you do, I hope you let me know... and whatever you do, I hope you enjoy it tonight and every day of you life for as long as you live (climb every mountain... ummm, yeah)...
