I think you should all bloglinkers and join and add yourselves to my list or somebody's list and network and meet others and create a better world... and if you know about other sites like it, let me know... one of these days I must check out blogrolling...

and you oughta know even if you just stop by here occasionally that I love to browse the net (and not just through diaries and personal journals and blogs) and if you find an interesting site I hope you pass along the address either in your diary or even better, leave the address for me to explore in my notes or email or guestbook or comments or somewhere...

and for the few of you who look in every day and miss me (or fret when I'm gone... don't fret, I love you and you have my number), I've been afk (now that's a term I haven't used in years since I don't instant message or chat online anymore)... unpacking and cleaning, mostly...

the apartment was a grand disappointment... the management here sucks more than ever... it's taken me years to finally want to do something about it too because I love so many things about the place... location is everything and it's got a lot... it's secluded (the entrance on a street off the main road) and has a park along a creek right next door (with a private entrance for residents) and decent gym and pool and other facilities (tennis courts, sand volleyball, pool table and more)... and it's close to work...

I have a web page up praising the place (it was up even before I moved in because I was searching for someone who wanted a roommate in this particular apartment community and I actually found someone living in the apartment next door to the apartment I wanted, which is another reason I love the net and... and I never did finish this thought, huh?...

...

and then there's Precious (she of evil chocolate sales... she belongs to a half dozen clubs or things and is involved in several projects {like going to Europe with a school trip this summer) and every few weeks she's got chocolates to seel to raise money for whatever club or project is raising money during those few weeks and me being a confirmed grand master chocoholic, well, it's definitely not good for my waistline, ya know?) who wants lots of attention for lots of reasons and her dad sleeps most of the time she's home, so I get to be her audience most of the time... like right now...

and besides cleaning and unpacking and Precious there's been a lot of phone time setting up the services (once again BellSouth screws up the transfer of service from one apartment to the other {and I still didn't get the rebate for the modem that they sent last March [they had it recorded as sent March 5, 2004] and several departments have to conference call to get that sorted out and the rebate department closed between phone calls even though they told me to wait} as they somehow cancelled the user name for the DSL account so tech support could not do anything so I spoke to customer service and then billing and everyone apologized for the error and they could not understand how it happened and so on and blah blah {and it doesn't help that Cingular, the BellSouth cellphone company that I also use, dropped the calls a few times and I had to call back because they did not call me back after I gave them a call back number and explained that their cell service keeps dropping out}... so anyway, I'll try again tomorrow and give them more time on the phone during peak minutes)... so as is so often the case with a move, each utility and service required a phone call to correct an error they made...

and now Yahoo SBC, the ISP that handles most of my website mail because I use one of the addresses I have through them to receive my candoor.net mail is jamming up somewhere along the way as more than 1500 messages try to download (99% is generally SPAM these days) so something like two thirds of them are downloading for the third or fourth time and if it disconnects again this time I probably have some sort of email that disconnects when it is downloaded for some technical reason and I'll have to find time tomorrow to go to the webmail for that address and delete all that mail which takes too long to do on dial up and DSL isn't working and as if that's not enough, the SBC Yahoo site is slow as can be for mail and I probably should consider using a Gmail address for it because the Gmail site is very fast, but before I do I want to find time to explore my domain server to see what, if any, email filtering options they offer and hopefully I can bounce the SPAM right from their server and never see it...

anyway, I just decided to stop the house work and utilities work and let Precious talk to me about her day while I tap these keys so you can have an update from me... I've got to be at work in a little over an hour and I would appreciate a shower, but at least I got to share the life in black and white with you a bit...

all in all, life is still the wonderful experience I know and love as life, even with it's flaws and missing pieces... my part of the new apartment is coming along well and is almost livable and so far the clutter and mess in their part of the apartment is not effecting my smile and an acceptable risk of roommating with friend-family people... I still have hopes of impressing upon them (at least one of them) the importance of cleaning up behind themselves (especially in the kitchen) and how not only healthy, but how self-esteem is effected by a careless living space and lifestyle... I am enjoying my renewed optimism and positivity and definitely thrilled about being closer to the perspective I know as me...

so everything shall work out as it will and I'll enjoy the process of living as long as I can... even if it's all alone (insert big puppy-dog eyes loneling for true love, or at least a friendly pat on the head)... at least I have my giggles...
