I feel hippie

I feel hippie today... well, I feel hippie a lot, but today especially because I am all set to go to the three day music festival (yes, someone, who shall remain nameless until we name her, actually read my heartfelt plea for companionship and took pity on my poor lonely soul and we're going, which must be evidence of our continued insanity {and loving every minute of it Jerry}, or funness (and how high is your fun quotient?)... yes, world, in a couple of weeks we'll climb into a tent and get to know each other... camping out and going all primitive... there's nothing like getting to know a person through their body odors...

if all goes well, her sense of humor can put up with my madness and my rambling on here won't scare her away (yes, yes, I know, proceed with caution and all that good advice... I love you all for caring and you love me for rompong around like a little child who doesn't know any better... it's good that we love each other)...

and for my typos... romping, yes...

meanwhile (to shift gears into another subject), Rilo Kiley and Kathleen Edwards are competing for my ears this week... sometimes a CD Stack does not get played through, sometimes a CD gets stuck in my head and gets doesn't come out of the CD player for a few days or longer and all the other CDs just have to wait... that's what happened earlier with Rilo and later with Kathleen... over and over again...

and from the internet is amazing files, I've been getting visitors from this Sandra Bullock site because Tim mentioned her in his 101 Things that was the basis for my 202 Things (see link on left) and I wonder what people coming here to find "Sandra Bullock is Sexy" think of all this babbling... well, for the record, I think Sandra Bullock is smart too... yes, and the link whore in me will proudly annouce that Catherine Zeta-Jones is sexy and Milla Jovovich is sexy and Carmen Electra is sexy (especially from behind) and Renee Zellweger is sexy (in such an odd way because she is not a libido fantasy and yet her personality is a real turn on)... Natalie Portman is sexy too, but I think Anna Paquin is sexy more... of course you already know, if you've visited Libboland, that I think Meg Ryan is sexy and Nicole Deboer is sexy and Mila Kunis is sexy and Janeane Garofalo is sexy... and oh Neve Campbell is sexy... and smart too... of course they are all smart too... smart, yes, smart... intelligent... and any other key word you might be searching for...

someday this may be my most visited entry...

anyway, the site is interesting for about five minutes in a statistical way (you know I love numbers), especially the musicians page...

and then...

"...my mind kept swimming swiftly around through the convoluted waterways of my consciousness, like a restless aquatic organism." ~ Haruki Murakami, A Wild Sheep Chase

maybe I am on a wild sheep chase, but then again, I maybe not...

I love you and hopefully someday you'll know it as well and believe it as much as I do...

there is so little time (sigh)... I did actually get more than an hour of sleep today... in fact, after getting about six hours in the previous six days, I think I doubled that... I fell asleep somewhere around 11am, I think... I hope... and I woke somewhere around 6pm... imagine, seven hours... I remember waking once or twice, turning off the TV, going to the bathroom, drinking water, maybe even crawling into bed... I think... anyway, it's almost time for work again... so many words to write, ideas to ponder, emotions to explore, passions to feel, things to do, voices to listen to, and people to love... and so little time (sigh, again)...

so in order to bring you an entry, I cheat sometimes... this is yet another one of those times... from a Salon interview with Richard Dawkins:

"Bush and bin Laden are really on the same side: the side of faith and violence against the side of reason and discussion. Both have implacable faith that they are right and the other is evil. Each believes that when he dies he is going to heaven. Each believes that if he could kill the other, his path to paradise in the next world would be even swifter. The delusional "next world" is welcome to both of them. This world would be a much better place without either of them." ~ Richard Dawkins

that makes so much sense to me (except that I don't infer that anyone should actually die or come to any harm, just move along to wherever it is they really want to be and stop trying to make this life and everyone in it think and feel and act exactly the way they do cuz that's dangerous and rude) that I felt compelled to share it with you as part of this diary that kind of represents everything that passes through my head (and mostly everything that stops for a moment to scratch itself into a brain cell) as well as life in black and white... I must explore more Richard Dawkins (I've not read anything and hopefully he writes science fiction or at least some fiction cuz I don't really want to read the news much except in sound bites like the one above...

I must explore iTunes... anybody? (info please)... see, cuz lazy lism (who actually, now that I think of it, inspired the isms ditty in the previous entry and whom I am coming to adore so I hope she can enjoy my teasing and come to know my harmless intent is only to inspires smiles so I don't have to include these ponderous disclaimer-like thoughts every time I slip in a little tease) put the songs up in iTunes format and they will not play on my old-fart computers... I know, personal problem... so I must explore...

Saturday Rasputin and I plan to head to a computer show to check out used stuff and maybe... yeah, like I have a few extra hundreds of dollars laying around in my pocket, especially since I'm shopping for camping stuff this weekend too and just paid for the festival tickets and is it time to pay bills again?... shhhh, the budget director is passed out in the closet (he gets that way every time I tie him up and put him in there), so let's not wake him...

it is time to dress and leave for work... that is so not hippie... but this is just the beginning... I'll feel hippier tommorow because I'm off for the weekend and on my days off I can pretend I don't work anymore and frolic all day in fields of wild flowers on a happy hippie commune far from the maddening crowds of suits and straight jackets that demand you think their way or else...

personally, I'll take else...

love yourself right now, for tomorrow you might forget...

to be continued...
