I approved Jerry's first message wondering if it was a metaphor and approved the second realizing his message might be better suited for the OrlandoSex group (which has been neglected for a long time and probably has a few thousands of messages in it's queue) or perhaps the OrlandoWriters group (ah, the wonders of metaphor :)

metaphorically speaking, the postman may always ring twice, but that does not mean the message gets delivered... in other words, if you are not interested in sex in the kitchen or cyber-sexual messages, then skip Jerry's message... but do stick around and send a message to the group and let me know what you do want...

some of you, especially the males of our species, may have joined this group in the hope of finding casual sex and if some of you hook up for mutual physical pleasure, that's great... but for the most part this OrlandoSingles group is for people who want to find friends first, people who want to expand their social circles with the hope of meeting other singles and maybe meeting some prospective dates that might lead to relationships...

so if you are here with slam-bam-thank-you-ma'am in mind, I suggest you find a group in the adult section of Yahoo Groups that has, in it's description, the concept of casual sex...

I usually do not approve messages that are simply pleas from a horny penis because the internet is full of male-based quick-sex sites and I think there's got to be places where people can meet that are not cyber-sex rooms or sex-spam attractions...

I am still hoping we can attract enough core people to this group to organize some social get-togethers at public places, perhaps based on activities we enjoy... but hey, that's just the group creator's idea for the group and I did not create the group to play god, so if some of you want quickies, by all means let that be clearly stated in your message and good luck getting your rocks off (no moral judgments, just clarification :)

With all that said, how are you today?... somewhere back in the archives is my introduction and the link to my personal website below offers more detail about me should any of you wish to know about the writer of this message... or if you are curious and do not have the time (or patience), you could just post a message and ask questions... see, I there's this group called OrlandoSingles amongst the millions of groups at Yahoo! Groups (now apparently injected with music by Launch)... it's among the many groups I created years ago when I moved back to Orlando (which is part of a larger and even older collection of groups I created long before Yahoo took over and commercialized the original groups site upon which most of the groups were created, but that's a tangent of a different story) in the hope of cnnecting with people and finding friends in this town and the few friends I have were found through these groups...

I don't spent much time moderating the groups anymore because I don't have enough time to sit and read through many dozens of messages a day (in one case, hundreds of SPAM messages a day) in order to approve the few legitimate on-topic messages for each individual group... anyone interested in helping to moderate any of the groups should let me know (as with any dormant group, let the moderator know) and we can see about what we can do, if anything, with the group...

I was thinking, as I read through the messages I approved for the group and included above, that this is the stereotypical conversation between men and women in this world... the man with what he hopes will be viewed as cute or clever subtrifuge, trying to seduce from the groin, the woman responding from other parts of her body... I thought about nudity, or rather, the the need for clothing and how it relates to the subtrifuge both sexes use in mating rituals... surely clothing may have started due to climate, covering the skin for protection from the elements (or perhaps the biblical claim of sudden awareness of shame is valid, but how foolish is that, really, assuming there is a single creator, to be ashamed of the work of the creator?... in fact, for your shock or amusement, here is further proof that humans are a strange lot... but again we digress, but while we're digressing, it's great when someone can be both charming and silly {and amusing and not afraid of sexual banter}... I think everyone needs one {a charming girl... or boy} in their life... have we digressed enough?)...

anyway, I still hope to meet more people locally and if any of you know anyone in the Orlando, FL area, I would appreciate an introduction... or just tell them about the Orlando Groups and maybe they'll be interested in exchanging some words... maybe this will be more motivation for me to return to believing that the internet can be a place where friends can meet and become real offline... I am heading in that direction again (in spite of the obstacles that still seem too easy to find)... I just wrote a couple of emails this weekend and I don't think they were primarily whining lonely laments... and all cynicism and joking about the perverse repressive fears and rules that some in our culture would like to force on us all, there is hope (I hope) J
