half a pint

number three, otherwise known as part two of the first part which was the previous entry, though this is the third part of an extended essay made up of other parts that were first born as an expansion of...

if you missed any of what I was about to say and care or are just curious or are the anal-retentive type who must feel in control of everything by believing you know everything, then you'll just have to rewind a few entries and see what happened...

meanwhile, we continue...

I suppose I got a little distracted there in my presentation of the RealTime entry I was sharing here in the introduction and engagement in the previous entries and so the probability that the RealTime entry will be expanded into more entries here in the real babble place where the babble belongs is very real and maybe the RealTime blog can get back to what it was meant to be for, brief updates of real life in real time (which is what RealTime means, after all), because it has certainly seen a fair share of blatant babbling in these weeks I've been away from this babbling place here behind the candoor ...

ICE CREAM!

yes, I am eating ice cream... you may ask why I suddenly shouted out as excitedly as I just did and you might think it is a bit of an overreaction (or even a fool's errand if you have a Vegan mindset and there is a strong Vegan mindset in my mind but we're not going there just now except to give the respect by mentioning it here), but this is the first ice cream I am eating in... how long?... weeks?... longer?... feels like years, but it's been a while... so I'm excited... bouncing (kind of like ender does)...

oh, sweet sugar, how I love thee, dear sugar...

I eat very little sugar these days what with my sudden penchant for healthy eating that started a few weeks or months ago... I haven't been getting to the gym so I haven't stepped on the scale so I can't tell you how far along I am toward the goals I set for myself and I can't tell you what those goals were because I forgot what those goals were (feel free to remind me if you've paid attention and care), but I would like to think I am still dropping the extra poundage and will be back in a much more comfortable comfort zone in this body in not too long...

but sugar is soooo much fun J

I did not forget that we are catching up here and we are in the middle of bringing you an entry that belonged here but was somehow (it was the middle of the night and I got lost, ok?) written and uploaded in the RealTime blog, so let's get back to where we were (in the previous entry) when we paused in the RealTime entry... I was relating to why I was still awake, I believe (or is that an understatement?) because I was still awake long after any sensible hour even by my standards, but then, standards are made to be exceeded in my world, so let's continue and see just what it was that was keeping me awake on this particular Thursday night in the recent, ok?...

meanwhile, the entry already in progress:

first, I went to the Nintendo Fusion Tour tonight at the Hard Rock Cafe and saw The Sleeping, Plain White T's, Emory, Reliant K, and Hawthorne Heights (you can see the current schedule of events in the life in black and white in an entry in the myspace blog {by now you'll have to scroll down to the Concerts entry or perhaps you'll find the schedule on the right of the RealTime blog if you scroll all the way down} if you care to know or want to join us at a concert or event... see, I am out here in many places in many ways these days {and not just hiding behind the babble like I used to do, ya know?} always hoping somebody who can relate to my manic energy and obvious madness {and enjoy it, even} and keep up with me will pick me up {or pick up the phone} and join me in {or drag me out to} some shared fun... in between all the other previously scheduled fun, that is... because I'm ready to take a chance again {yeah, Barry Manilow in a paragraph with all those other bands, sue me} and want someone to share everything... fat chance, maybe, but I'm not fat anymore so maybe there's a better chance than there was, aye?)...

I suppose I digressed...

but then, what else are parentheses for?...

yes, right, we were relating to the Nintendo Fusion Tour tonight at the Hard Rock Cafe and the bands The Sleeping, Plain White T's, Emory, Reliant K, and Hawthorne Heights or to expound (and yes, I actually expounded in the brief RealTime blog... did I mention that besides the standards thing, that rules were made to be broken too?... I suppose, if you are curiously interested {or interestedly curious, even} you will just have to head over to the RealTime blog and find the entry in the RealTime entry to see how much of this is inadvertent babble over there and how much is vertent babble right here before your eyes), we saw The Sleeping (who were very much awake, too much so at times), Plain White T's (who actually were not plain and not all white and actually, not T's at all, though the T-Shirts they sold were cool, though not plain or white either), Emory (who's name reminds me of a paperish nail file and their sound did a bit of the same), Reliant K (who's name reminds me of two different Chrysler/Plymouth cars of different eras, but that has nothing to do with their music and I enjoyed them), and Hawthorne Heights (who had an excellent set, a blindingly good light show, and fit the bill as fine headliners)... I went thinking I would like Plain White T's best and I did (really like their lead singer's attitude on and off the stage), but Reliant K and Hawthorn Heights were not far behind at all for me in their songs and both were musically and theatrically more advanced (they had the bigger budgets)...

for a while I felt old (something about the restrictive nature of the venue and then, a touch of the loneliness in the crowd syndrome and then, a bit of discomfort in my own skin because I don't exercise enough), but that wore off by the second band (it didn't help that I didn't get into the first band much)...

then, for a bit, I felt like I was in a room full of conservative robots and I was walking on eggshells trying not to upset anyone and then I realized that the place was oppressive and they had ghestapo pushing through the crowd escorting people out for having too much fun (no moshing or crowd surfing, but moshing is what these concerts are about for these bands and their fans and personally, I thought the guards were over reactive and defining bouncy dancing as moshing prematurely, but then, I like to move at a concert from time to time... and yes, that is an understatement)...

so the bands could not get the crowd going so they didn't get going themselves as well as they could and by the end they were mocking the oppressive atmosphere which was amusing... and as has been the pattern with concerts here in Orlando, I was one of the most actively bouncing people in the place because I stood away from people about bounced and they couldn't throw me out for moshing or crowd surfing and Hawthorn picked up on it and told the crowd they won't throw them out for jumping and they jumped a bit, but many in the crowd were deflated and at least a third of the crowd were kids who showed up more for the Nintendo video games than for the bands and oh well, the oppressors win another round in conservative Florida...

like the Drama Director at Precious's school who is, these days, butting into another teacher's production of a funny show (I'll think of the name another time... and since this is another time, the name of the show is The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940, know it?) and she's telling the cast not to act... really, she's telling the cast to read the lines straight because the play, which, by the way, is a comedy, calls for one part to be played drunk and another to be played gay and the drama director is not just a control freak but also a conservative prude (ever notice how the two personality types seem to go hand in hand?) who says that's not appropriate... so the girl plays drunk too well and the gay guy plays gay too well and the Drama Director does not seem to know her job too well because last I heard, getting into character and playing a part well is what acting is about and the characters and lines she wants to edit out (censor) or subdue (ruin) are a lot of the comedy in the play... so the cast is saying they will ignore her come opening night and dare her to shut down production of another teacher's show on the subsequent nights...

but that's besides the pint, I mean point, though some of you might think pint made more sense, especially my English speaking audience, British English, that is, as in smash, and that's besides the pint and point too (as usual... see why this entry belongs behind the candoor?)...

and here it is, isn't it?... you'll just have to move along to the next entry here behind the candoor to find out what's become of the rest of that RealTime entry now that the babbler has a hold of it with gloves off and all those free-for-all metaphors... I mean, if you are interested or care or anything...

are we having fun yet? (ok, I'll stop teasing and get on with the next part... click next, ok?)*
