2004-10-10 - 10:20 p.m. online, offline, fine lines... and so I spent the night awake and dreaming (or sleepwriting, as I seem to have named it)... start here because I left off here last time I was there and to read in chronological order as if you actually spent the night with me you should, as I said, start here... I think it may be a little obvious that some of the words were influenced by a visit to a book store I made yesterday... we went to the movies, saw Taxi and laughed a lot... the biggest laugh may have been before the movie started as I followed Barnie down an isle to the other side of the theatre to walk up the stairs to join the girls at the seats they picked for us (cuz Barnie and I bought the refreshments) and suddenly Barnie stopped with a splash... apparently there was a dividing wall in the isle he chose and he walked into it spilling his drink... luckily, my lightening quick reflexes (or luck.. or perhaps it was just really bad comedy timing) kept me from completing the scene by walking into his back... I turned and he followed me up the stairs to the seats and while the audience did not applaud, most were laughing before and after the movie and a few were pointing us out and explaining what happened to the few who did not catch it... we were still laughing when we got to CJ's for dinner and to watch the Karoake finals... but before we went to dinner, we wandered around a book store (and then a music store) for a while... I finally used the two gift cards I received for holidays over the past year and bought two books... one was an early birthday gift for Precious, a guide to the world of Harry Potter... of course I want to read it too... and the other book, the one that influenced the writings I mentioned earlier, is called Hippie by Barry Miles... it's a picture book that attempts to summarize the sixties from a hippie's viewpoint... great quotes... great pictures... I like it... some time later, I went out again to get some desserts... impulses (what about that reducing the budget idea?... the movie was about $7, the dinner was about $20, the desserts ran about $65... well, actually, I bought food too, pastas and soft stuff because I have this cut in the back of my mouth that is hurting like crazy {so I also bought generic gum-numbing gel and suppositories, come to think of it, because I had a rather rough bowel movement [and I am probably giving you altogether too much information for a Sunday morning read, huh?] because I ate a lot of hard-stool producing stuff and almost no soft-stool producing stuff in recent weeks and it finally caught up with my system probably cuz I drank more sugar drinks and less water the past week, but this aside within the aside that is this tangential parentheses is just me thinking aloud so there's no need for you to pay any attention to it unless you really want to} because I have a one molar that never did pop through the gums so every now and then something hard gets caught between the upper molar and the gum that did not let the lower molar through and that stubborn gum learns it's lesson but good because it gets cut up and bruised and then I suffer for a week because I continue eating as usual and cut and bruise it even more and finally drag myself to the drug department of a store to buy some generic gum-numbing gel and hopefully I will use it soon, so it wasn't all desserts... don't I distract myself well?)... I could so use someone who inspired me to find my self-discipline in my life again... and the pourrette cookies are delicious... earlier, I had the ice cream with two kinds of hot fudge (comparing brands again) and pour on icing (just had to try it)... at least i didn't open the two kinds of chocolate chips yet... or the other icing... or... what was that I was saying about inspicing self-discipline?... I have some, really... a lot, actually... I just shelved it a while back and haven't found the motivation to remember just where it might have been filed away in my cluttered brain... what can I say?... I'm just having too much fun without it (gotta have some form of amusement to keep the loneliness at bay, right?)... maybe she will (if I keep reading, huh?)... I love the inspirations I find (and yes, I love the intellectual thought provoking reads too, even though I usually prefer the escape and irreverence simply because I come online for fun much more than education... I admire and applaud the writers who inspire me to think about my long buried social conscience {as I recall marching in protests and gathering with others to listen to people speak and sing for a cause} and the altruistic {as opposed to the selfish} parts of my heart)... thank you for being out there people... ok, I decided that I liked the connection between hamiltonian and mcearstix (for whatever listing someone on a favorites list means as a connection) when I read this: "My biggest problem is people -- individually, they are easy to empathize with, but collectively, they are oppressive and I'm filled with despair. I don't like interacting. I feel as if no one understands me. That can be frustrating." while I often love interacting, I feel the words in that quote at my core, I wrote tham so many times in my mind... just one more reason for me to to adore her... "people -- individually, they are easy to empathize with, but collectively, they are oppressive and I'm filled with despair." ~mcearstix that is it, as simple or complex as it appears to be, that is it... and I found it in a profile, in fact, this is one of the rare times I felt like linking a profile here in my ramblings... the quotes, just go read the quotes... I'll just go back to reading and fall in love with the fine lines I find in all of your writings today... until next time, for your browsing pleasure, this is where clicking randomly on banners and links (and profiles) lead me today...
