and I probably should have just gone to bed cuz now I am wired (still almost eleven hours before I have to head back to work, so there's still a chance I'll get eight hours sleep, but I am buzzing right now) cuz I ate (fat-free turkey with fat-free cheese on light bread, so I was good.. almost) and opened my presents (chocolate!... I am loved)... the girls at work prepared a little Easter basket with a few pieces of chocolate in it for Precious and the chocolate was yummy, but I am leaving most of it for Precious...

Annie, on the other hand, is pure evil (the good kind of evil) because her package contained a gift for the boy, the man, and the dead... and the dead got, yup, chocolate!... really good creamy filled chocolate... of course I consumed the whole package already (ummmm)... too good... they are called Lindor Truffles and man I've gotta find these around here... after I drop twenty or thirty pounds, that is (I hear some of you frowning, some of you yelling, most of you laughing... I appreciate it all, but I'm having too much fun... see what I mean about celebrating every day?... much better this way...

the gift for the man was Amanda Marshall... I mean an Amanda Marshall CD, not the person... it would be nice to get a person in the mail, but I don't think Amanda would have gone along with that... and then the boy got a Peter Pan doll (ummm, does figurine sound better to those of you who've cringed?) complete with a treasure chest and knife (that both light up)... it's weird looking Pan, huge hands (so he can hold the knife, I guess) and huge feet (so he can stand on his own, I guess) and a real crazy look on his face... no, he is not anatomically correct, but then, since he has disportionately large extremities that is probably best... can you tell I am having fun?...

I am not sure if I should open him (Peter) or leave the package sealed like collectors do... I used to have collector toys (some may still be in storage, which reminds me of the comics and baseball cards I could have retired on had the parental units not thrown all my stuff out when I went into the army, but even if you have not heard me whine about that before, I'm not gonna do it now, nope, just not gonna do it)... my little Wacko Warner figurine has stayed with me for years cuz he's little and happened to be packed in a box that was not lost or stolen along the way... Wacko is unpacked and sits in various places on my desk areas, depending on his mood... Wacko is one of my heros... Peter is too, especially after he remembered that he did not have to grow up just cuz he got big and responsible...

have I thanked you for your Happy Birthday wishes?... even though it's just a day for me, it's still another day to celebrate and I'll share celebrating life any day given the chance, so today is an even more fun celebration than the actual date was (since I slept and worked most of that date)... life is so much more fun to be loved...

I got a free meal ticket from work... I haven't eaten there in a couple of years, so I have a few of those... and of course there are bills (I am closer to sorting through the past seven months of house bills so Rasputin and I can settle up and he can start paying his share month to month)... that's about it except for a couple of cards...

I don't always link to the senders of gifts or cards cuz not everybody has a website and some people are kinda shy or seek privacy (and I sure don't want to discourage any would-be gift-givers by giving them public attention they are not looking for... but if you're any sort of attention seeking onliner (me, a link whore?... how could you tell?), just ask and you'll find yourself mentioned somewhere in my rambling...

am I begging for more attention? (well whatcha expect, the kid got a toy and that wakes up the idea of parties with presents... I had one once when I was sixteen)... I already checked and set my lineups in basketball and baseball this morning (did that before I went to the gym) and so I think maybe I'll wander around a bit online until I nod off... if I focus I can find the sleepiness that is hiding somewhere in my over-excited brain... and my heart, Maria, my heart is feeling all warm and cozy and loved... like in a Meg Ryan movie...

ah, that was a good thought to drift off into (as the wonder drug, chocolate, works it's chemical magic in my head)... and now I am just waking from a big green chair nap and gonna roll over to bed now, so hug yourself for me and make the most of your day (or night)... may your smile be as big as mine...
