after a nap I got to thinking about my last entry and the news and the idiots who influence human children and I had a few more thoughts raising their hands in the back of my mind...

first, I want to thank these guys for putting up banners that lead me to the news of the world... I am hoping they are not just another hate group (I know liberal democrats do not see themselves as nazis or skinheads, but there is just as much stupidity and blind faith hate on both sides of just about every argument and some people focus primarily on finger pointing and mockery and while there is a place for laughing at the stupidity of others, the bottom line is working out a compromise and fixing what is wrong, not placing blame or eliminating competition... am I digressing?)... anyway, I have no reason to think so (so please pardon my rambling doubts as they come from my not knowing), but one reason I stay away from politics (and religion, for that matter) is it attracts and brings out haters and I've had enough haters in my life for this lifetime...

anyone who says my way or the highway is wrong in my book... anyone who is not seeking a truly workable compromise that actualizes peaceful coexistence is not welcome in my life...

anyway, one thought that popped up is how the old west cowboys and government troops raped the people and pillaged the places they labelled American Indian villages (Indians are from India, ya know?) and how history, through textbooks and media, has omitted the atrocities and justified the virtual wiping out of wisdom and intelligence and beauty of many long existing cultures... manifest destiny was the term most often used, if I recall my education...

another thought that came to mind was a rather smarmy question that might make a point if the cynicism and wiseassness of it doesn't distract from the point too much... I suppose that the Nazis were getting shot at, it was war, so the concentration camps and what happened in them can be justified and laughed off too...

European men have a pretty damn horrible record of attrocities on other humans... is it any wonder the Eastern cultures and people who have no first hand experience in dealing with the beauty of the Rennasaince or the wonders of the industrial age or the passion of the caring Europeans might tend to be suspicious about a culture that, for more than a thousand years, has attempted to conquer the world, dominate thought and property and lives, and condemn anyone who does not blindly go along with the master plan as heretics, blasphemers, evil empires, despots, and something despicably sub-human?...

how would you feel about someone who came to your home with a gun, killed your neighbors, raped your mothers and sisters, and tortured you with one hand while holding out a supposedly good book and food in the other hand?...

but you don't have to go there, might makes right and you know what you've been told, it's ok...

just tell the rebellious youth and troublemakers raising their hands in the back of your mind to shut up and pay attention because they must learn the truth or they will have to go to the principle's office for disciplinary action... that's been working for thousands of years, no need to go back to the cross and burn techniques...
