2004-06-22 - 3:33 p.m. as the days blur Dear x, ensie, robin, jerk, cry, legs, caela, dailywiz, janie, and other unmentioned due to lack of time...
and now, the entry... and after almost a hundred clicks of Add an entry, there may be no entry uploaded today either... maybe it is the summertime rush or maybe it's that I've reached some limit on number of entries or maybe it's something else, but it's back to wondering if this is the end of this run for candoor at DLand... it certainly does not feel good to be cut off from you, dear readers, and I can already see that many of you are falling out of the habit of checking in here every day... maybe splurging on another diary will happen, maybe moving to another server... we shall see... the secondary result of the blockage is that people paying for the service are wasting their banner ads because I am probably not the only one clicking Add an entry a hundred or more times a day (there could be thousands of us or more) and each time a banner add, bought and paid for by people with more money to burn than I have today, might be wasted... not a good time of year to run banner ads, I suppose... anyway... another day, another whatever... work was ok, the usual, though better than it has been in the past since the evil nurse has been exposed for her manipulations and nobody wants much of anything to do with her and I am no longer alienated... unfortunately, that means I don't read as much, but it is good to have the respect and social graces of my co-workers again... it probably didn't hurt that a few managers and a director have come to me to ask for my help with various projects and to train staff on other units... the winds of change keep on a-changing, so I don't expect my golden-boy status to last long, but it's a pleasant shift on the respect meter... and the majority of us night shift on my unit and the unit next door have plans to get together socially a few times a month... in fact, it may be more often than that, but we shall see... and the workouts are credible again, this second day back after almost a week off went well and except for my over-eating (the two soy burgers weren't enough, said my brain and mouth, so cereal with soy milk followed and now my stomach feels bloated again... bad habits die hard, especially when I eat tired... the body is hungry after an hour at the gym that includes wieght work and forty minutes on the step cycle machine (with arm-pumping action, or so the brochure says) that supposedly burns more than 800 calories, but I probably should just have a light snack, if anything, and then go to bed and wake up for a big meal in the evening (my morning) and then eat a few light meals before and at work... ah, the lovely shoulds, aren't they special?... so what else is new?... I made it to the library thanks to Raspy who wanted to get himself some food and that motivated me to hitch a ride so a few dozen CDs and a few books and DVDs were returned mostly on time (I owed $9.80 this time) and another couple of dozen are sitting on my copy-table as I type this entry... mostly old stuff as I've already taken out most of the new stuff the local branch has... time to start ordering more on from the catalog... it's a fair substitute for a real CD collection (that would be with the paid-for disks in cases with booklets and whatever extras that might be offered)... someday, if I ever get rich again, I'll buy another music store and live in the library... just before nodding, I enjoyed revisiting with old friends... and that's the way it was, whenever this was, whenever this might get to be uploaded...
