and then there was Wednesday... at least I think it was Wednesday... it's been a long week (time being relative to length and width and such, but we don't have to get into a psuedo-psycho-metaphysical one-sided discussion again, right?... so much in my parenthetic asides goes unnoticed, unmentioned, or just un-followed up... sometimes... maybe... one never knows, do one?... but then, there's always hope)... and it's still going (the week, that is)...

you'd have thought I'd get home and fall over dead after not sleeping and running around yesterday with all the excitement and such and such of yesterday (sort of yesterday, I think), but I found myself sitting in front of the computer drafting baseball players a few hours after I got home from work...

it's all Rasputin's fault... he's addicted, I tell ya...

amazingly, I think it might have been my best draft of all and if I find time and energy I will put all of the teams I drafted into an entry or few for those of you interested in baseball or fantasy sports... for a brief taste, in this league, my pitching staff starts off with Johann Santana, Randy Johnson, and Curt Schilling... Mariano Rivera, Francisco Rodriguez, and A. Benitez head my relief corps... if you know about baseball pitching and fantasy drafts, that's pretty amazing...

still, the fantasy sports thing does not do what it once did for me and I don't give it near enough time to actually give the teams the best chance of winning their leagues... there's just not enough time in the day and I'd rather be doing other things (not just writing here either)... the social creature in me yearns for afk stuff to do with others in the flesh...

but there's five leagues this year so far... Raspy has at least six so far... I say so far because to go beyond four leagues, one must have a second Yahoo ID and since there's four leagues per ID, there's a chance for more... the drafts are more fun than the daily upkeep of the leagues, actually... though it is not fair to other players to just draft and then not participate in the league throughout the year so I do not usually join more than a few leagues in each sport...

I think I passed out somewhere along the way because I woke up after dark and it was time to go to work again...

I seem to recall catching part of American Idol as I prepared for work... Precious and her TV jones keeps me informed about the critical cultural events like who's still on Americal Idol and what Simon had to say about them...

I mean, we've all got to get our news from somewhere... and speaking of the news, this is the music that's playing right now (the songs come from a compilation CD called Totally Hits 2004... I figured it was about time I got back into current music too)...
