2007-02-10 - 4:35 a.m. too much for myspace? well, you may have missed the last dozen entries (and a few meant something to me, believe it or not) and you might miss this one too, but it's here for the moment and as usual, comes with the hope that you will find it and it will mean something to you too... we are what we do, after all, and so much of what I do is pour myself into words and put the words out on the web...
and a place for the comfort and a place for each toy there's a place for the grieving and a place for the blessed and this place is myspace, in case you've not guessed and when was the last time you confessed? this one goes out to the sad eyes I see as I wander the streets and alleys of my space long into the night... this one is for the ones who are afraid to approve a friend request or who story to hide in this very public place... I mean, think about it, this is a public bulletin board anyone with a computer can see, why come here if it's just to tack a sealed envelope containing your secrets to the wall?... there are so many more private online communities, still public bulletin boards, but with hundreds, not millions looking in each day...
I see your sad eyes I know that you're lonely do you feign surprise? I wish I could hold you tell you it's alright for everyone's lonely alone every night I look at your myspace I see your despair you wonder why do it will anyone care? I wish I could be there I would hold your hand and let you know someone you can understand we are innocent people we've all made mistakes we've not had the best luck we've had some bad breaks we don't want to be angry or cynical yet there are things that still hurt us and things we regret and things we would rather just sooner forget maybe someday an answer will knock on our door and remind us that living is what we're here for maybe someday a reason will reach deep inside and touch us and mean it where we are denied and maybe you would rather I not see you hide but I look at your picture and see you have cried when I look at your picture I see every tear you have cried and I wish I could show you you're not as alone as you may be feeling there out on your own and I wish I could help you find comfort and peace for I look at your picture and see a smile wanting release we are innocent people we've all made mistakes we've not had the best luck we've had some bad breaks we don't want to be angry or cynical yet there are things that still hurt us and things we regret and things we would rather just sooner forget maybe someday an answer will knock on our door and remind us that living is what we're here for maybe someday a reason will reach deep inside and touch us where it hurts where we've been denied and maybe you would rather I not see you hide but I look at your picture and say that's a lie when I look at your picture I see you want someone to love you you want someone to touch you inside and I wish I could show you you're not as alone as you may be feeling there out on your own and I wish I could help you find comfort and peace for I look at your picture and see a smile wanting release a beautiful smile and a heart wanting release we are innocent, people, because we do not wake up with any intent to hurt anyone... we do not go out into our day with any plans to hurt anyone... sure, we can do better in helping each other, in taking care of each other and the planet, in living up to the ideals we'd like to call our own... but it is not our intention to destroy or hurt... it is our fear, our loneliness, our insecurity, our misunderstanding that leads us to close our eyes and blindly support the destruction of the planet - or a people who are different from us in some way...
