thank you, dear .1%

one of the reasons I am alone in this life, that is, partner-less, is I share too much... this is what I have been told again and again by people who come close to me and by human standards in our western culture, it is most likely true... I mean, here at this diary, for instance, I might spend 1% of my not-physically-sleeping hours a day on average and I probably write more than 99.9% of the passers-by would care to read... I am very thankful for you, dear .1%...

sometimes I am disillusioned with life and the people in it... that is because I try and try and try and give and give and give and then sit hopefully with my eyes wide open watching for any sign that anyone might want to try and give as I do... mostly I get odd stares, when I am noticed... it's not as pathetic as it might read, but it is very real, true... people just do not seem to want to share everything all the time as I do... and I've never felt completely comfortable with an off switch...

as I am writing this my mail is bouncing... there's not too much I can do about it... someone SPAMed my website address with 30kb messages and with those scattered into the already ridiculous amount of SPAM I get at the website address, 1416 messages filled the 10MB mailbox and everything will bounce until I empty the mailbox... unfortunately, the laptop or Outlook Express or my ISP or all three have contrived to repeatedly disconnect from the internet as the 10MB of junk mail is being downloaded causing the server to keep all 10MB on it and therefore bounce anything coming in... and at my end, however many MB were downloaded is just duplicated in the next attempted download... it's downright download bloat... downbloat...

of course I actually sent out a couple of emails today too...

one of these days I will figure out a solution, but for now, my website addresses (candoor dot net... and candor dot 8m dot com) are just frequently unreliable... that is why my DLand mail comes through a different address... unfortunately, a most of my other mail comes through one of those website addresses, which is probably why they get so much SPAM... when I sign up on most public sites, I give one of those addresses... that's to keep all the SPAM going there... once I feel as secure as I can be that the site is not SPAMing me, I change the address to one of the addresses that are not public and therefore do not get much SPAM... frustrating, but the only way I've got at the moment to control SPAM... it works, almost...

I signed up for blogrolling today, but the confirmation email probably bounced... I keep figuring that the more people who stumble by this site, the better chances I have of my soulmate stumbling by and finding me... if she happens to be out there and spends any time online...

ok, I did something about the email... a bandaid, not a real fix... I switched to an account that stores 25MB of mail, which means more SPAM will be held on the server for download on these heavy SPAM days, but maybe fewer emails that I'd like to get through to me will bounce... I still need to figure out how to delete SPAM directly at the server, but the monthly package I have does not seem to have that... one of these days I'll spend time emailing support and see what can be done... until then, I ignore the SPAM as much as possible and wait for the downloads...

and then I deleted the 100MB of mail from my deleted mail folders... that's about what comes in every week... about twenty thousand emails... today about 1500 email came since I downloaded mail this morning (about ten hours ago)... the 10MB just reached the header portion of it's download, so my fingers are crossed that making room in the email folders helped... and yay, that server is clear... now we'll see how quickly the other server can fill up with 25MB of mail...

have I fascinated you all yet?...

well, maybe this will help keep us awake... while turning a large stack of Xmas music CDs into mp3s (and you thought I was joking about it being Xmas?), I selected (in my usual semi-random but still based on moods and intuitions fashion) the musical selections for today... and these be them:
Collective Soul
The The
Depeche Mode
The Beatles
The Beatles
Cowboy Junkies
George Thorogood
Live
Oasis
Oasis
Melissa Etheridge
Melissa Etheridge
Collective Soul
45RPM: The Singles
Music For The Masses
Revolver
Magical Mystery Tour
One Soul Now
30 Years of Rock
Throwing Copper
Definitely Maybe
What's the Story Morning Glory
Lucky
Yes I Am
and from the just in case you wanted to know section of my brain, the way I see it, a diary called i-love-sex would probably get a lot of hits from guys looking for pictures of naked girls, but that may be a chauvanist perspecive... maybe the psychology studies about males being more visually oriented are wrong and there are just as many girls going to the site in the hope of finding pictures of naked boys... and then, we could be anti-visual (for any number of reasons) and all go looking for literary sensuality...

in any case, I went hoping to find someone who loved sex... I didn't find anything that gave me the feeling there was a real person there though... for me, if you want to be my fantasy, personal details and pictures should be included... otherwise it's just like reading stories in adult magazines, which isn't my kind of turn on... not that I've never, but it's not something I go out of my way to do... I think that's mostly because most sexual writing (and images) are stereotypical and the stereotype turn ons of this western culture are as much turn offs for me as turn ons...

it's just a life in black and white... it happens to be the one I am experiencing most at the moment, so in some strange way it might be called mine, but then, I don't believe in ownership (sing it, John, sing it again please)...

I wake to find the same old things, the empty space where love should be embodied, the cluttered space where dance should be embraced, the sleeping humanity that preaches love while living hate, the crying nature raining down misunderstood love... and somewhere far away, laughter calls and leaves a message on my voicemail... and love...

may you embrace your day with all the love in your heart and find there is more you've never known before waiting for you to open your eyes and feel the moment... this moment I love you, whomever you are, wherever you are, whatever you are, whenever you are... in every way and in every dimension you are welcome to share the love, the wonderful feeling of waking up to a brand new day...

hug yourself for me... then hug someone else J
