parts of the entries that would have been here had I not fallen asleep in the middle of writing them...

this entry is incomplete (especially the part where I catch up on my fellow Rockin' Soap stars (see incomplete linkage on the left) preparing for Season Two, which is scheduled to start tomorrow, or the 30th, whichever comes first, but was started the day before yesterday and probably would have been the entry of the 26th, time being relative, or one of those days with date in the upper twenties of this month, whichever it is), but I require sleep at the moment so I'll either complete it tonight or tomorrow morning...

and yes, same goes for the missing days between this entry and the previous entry, which is the sermon for the month, so read it every morning you might need a sermon, or anytime, even if you don't need one, cuz it's not really a sermon, but it'll pass as one for me if I'm asked to write one, at least until I do, if I do)...

and there are files somewhere partially written that I am too sleepy to find at the moment cuz I'm too busy fantasizing about falling in love (and lusting over) at least one of the few of you who inspire such nursery school fantasies (yeah, you had to be there or read a lot to get the layers there)...

I'll trust you, dear phratry, to understand and the rest of you, just ask around or wait for visitor's day at the asylum when you can ask me directly whatever it is you wish to know...

this is probably not news to anyone here (still, maybe there's a newbie among us tonight), but I really enjoy entries like this one that hyperlink deeper and deeper into the writer's psyche...

that lead to much more (perhaps on the 27th, but then, who's counting?) before the computer crashed and took some words into the, wherever...

so we pick up in the midst of the next entry (28th) that was also interrupted by a crash, but not before some additional linkage and words came forth from the, well, from wherever they come forth from...

I've got this rumble in my gut that I've found another twin some of a different mother out there in cyberspace... his name is Rob and that's just what he'll do to your senses if you hang around reading him too long (which is what many have said about me, so it's good to be able to say it about someone else... then again, what's so good about it?)...

in any case, if you don't mind a few farts at the table now and then, go check out Rob's gut rumbles... a bit of reading lead me to this other old fart who produced what may be my favorite quote of the year (ok, so it's only a few weeks into the year, but think about this):

"It's okay to fling poo at people from below, but it's bad form to pour it on them from above." ~ Steve H.

of course ol' Steve might not like it around here because I swing both ways intellectually and the last time I took a swing at religion and politics (seems like only yesterday) I suppose you might say I was using a left hook... maybe the macho boxing metaphors will earn me a half a point... not that I'm counting or anything... I get the sense of a sense of humor that might appreciate this bit of ribbing, but then, I've been known to be wrong before and rest on the laurels (or are those coattails) of one of my favorite personal clichs, there's always hope...

anyway, back to Rob (and any way you look at it, this is bad... the kind of bad that dead baby jokes are made of, yes, very very bad... and yes I am very very laughing because I am very very bad that way).., I found myself dropping comments like a can of Raid drops roaches, so I suppose I'll continue mentioning why...

but first, another bit I found on the trail that Rob opened up for me this morning is a quote about NASA and I figured it was something worth giving some brain power to because those Challenger shuttlenauts deserve a twenty year reunion in our minds... the trouble is, NASA is not anything to be celebrating and hasn't been for a long time... I offer this quote from the Shuttle Challenge Flight Surgeon:

NASA has evolved into a culture that does not tolerate criticism well. It is a place where being a "team player" means shutting up and doing what you are told, or else you will be marginalized and your career finished. That is not the sort of place where innovation --or safety-- thrive. ~ Dr Sanity

sounds like the hospital I work at... in fact, it sounds a lot like America to me, especially these days... read the first hand recollection of the day, January 28th, 1986, for yourself... and what are the facts that NASA hid because who wanted to know that the crew was still alive for the entire fall into the ocean where they were probably crushed to death by the impact with water at 200mph...

but I think the crew deserves the truth be known, so read and look for more...

elsewhere, the debate has surely only just begun... and think about it...

we do have an atmosphere of fear of criticism and arrogant know-it-all-ism in this country... heck, the subliminal arrogance even seeps into my babbling and I am aware of my not wanting to let ego think I'm better than anybody else because I'm of the privileged USA class of humans... hopefully my mockery of myself suggests that I don't buy into the we-are-better-than-the-rest-of-the-world attitude, but I am tainted some, after all, cuz I've lived nowhere else other than Toronto (and that was just a few years)...

to be continued...

until I continue, I leave you these thoughts too beautiful to not pass along:

"May you find happiness in every direction your paths take you. May you never lose your sense of wonder, and may you hold on to the sense of humor you use to brighten the lives of everyone who knows you. May you go beyond the ordinary steps and discover extraordinary results. May you keep on trying to reach for your stars. May you never forget how wonderful you are. May you always be patient with the problems of life, and know that any clouds will eventually give way to the sunlight of your most hoped-for days. May you be rewarded with friendships that get better and better, and with love that blesses your life forever. May you meet every challenge you are faced with, recognize every golden opportunity, and be blessed with the knowledge that you have the ability to make every day special. May you have enough material wealth to meet your needs, while never forgetting that the real treasures of life are the loved ones and friends who are invaluable to the end. May you search for serenity, and discover it was within you all along. May you be strong enough to keep your hopes and dreams alive. May you always be gentle enough to understand. May you know that you hold tomorrow within your hands, and that the way there will be shared with the makings of what will be your most wonderful memories." You are simply wonderful. Fica com Deus.

B~ Socccernut

heck, even this list is incomplete (missing links and a couple of dozen lines stuck in another file somewhere), so don't feel left out until it's updated too and then be sure to call and remind me of how much I love you, or do what I do, leave a note or comment subtly suggesting it without actually mentioning it because wishing you well is less embarrassing than actually reminding you, ok?...
