actually, I don't have much else to say at the moment... switching channels between Oregon State trying to upset LSU (which I actually picked as one of my long shot picks in my pick'em college game so that would be cool... I don't actually root for any particular teams in any sport on any consistent basis, though being that I spent a lot of years in NYC, the NY teams get my attention and I smile when they win... but the same can be said for at least a dozen other teams in every sport because I have lived in other places and places take on an emotional life of their own when I spent time there or when I knows somebody from there, wherever there may be)...

I have Gmail, did I tell ya? (of course I did... I really do intend to try to use it too)... use the name candoor if you want to reach me there... maybe it'll become my primary email address (though I've never used a web based email address as a primary address... time to check out advantages?... we shall see)... and one of these days I want to type out a list (a database would be sensible) of all the CDs I've copied so I can finally add to and update my CDs (it's been ten years since I updated the master list... and CDs have come and gone by the hundreds since then... I may be {is this a revelation or just accepting the obvious possibility or really an excuse for laziness and accepting poverty?} accepting my loss of music as some sort of mourning period for mistakes and losses in the flesh and allowing the universe {and an external locus of control} choose just when {and if} I return to music in this life... anybody interested?)...

meanwhile, outside of my head... there's more than a million people without power at this moment (see above, the date and time, I mean)... only eighty thousand actually have no power in the central Florida area accoring to the endless "don't panic but keep listening to our panic warnings" news reports... and there's a curfew and we are not allowed to be on the roads... I wonder what work will say if I used that as an excuse to call in tomorrow (I am off tonight... was off the night of Charlie too... weird timing that I will not take credit for just in case I actually did it and taking credit might jinx my power over the universe or something)... I'll probably venture out and try to drive in, though the predictions are for this thing to last a long time (like 24-36 hours) and for Orlando to get some of the worst of the inland effects (the east coast will get the worst of it... Palm Beach county.. I wonder if this is payback for the chads) and there is supposed to be much tre downage, power line downage, property damage, and flooding tomorrow night... s'ok, I can swim...

so what else is new?... I see a call came through on my cell today... it must have been during a cell blip cuz it didn't ring... no message, but I thank whomever called me from a 509 area code (I haven't looked up where that is yet) for your call and I'll assume you were caring and wishing me a safe journey through this latest storm... it feels so good to know you care (and that goes for all of you who do)...

I'm finishing the last of my laundry... and Oregon State is still surprising LSU... and this was about the time the power went out last time, so I'm gonna upload this extra entry and do some more stuff around the place here and maybe come back later if the power allows it...
