2004-07-27 - 10:24 p.m. for the love of reading... the newest thing added to my to do list (which is long and winding like most everything else in life) is to learn how to do this... I already am a member or signed up for or whatever it is we do when we list ourselves at meetup for their bookcrossing (and I don't even remember my password to that site so I'll have to find time to get a new one and see if I am still able to access it... anybody got some free time I can borrow?), but I stumbled across the actual bookcrossing site recently and am too excited to not do something... so I wrote this... and hopefully I will still be too excited not to do something when I have more time... I still have not finished the sixth book in Stephen King's Dark Tower series, which is now in it's third library renewal, which makes it more than six weeks... my reading time at work has been extremely limited by a lot more conversation and social interactions and slower productivity... so the third book in the Harry Potter series, which was to be the next book I read, still awaits somewhere... as do a pile of others including Butterflies Do Not Sleep in Hot Tubs by Nancy McCoy (Which I bought cuz it was listed on the official Harry Chapin along with all the other Harry merchandise I recently bought again (replacing what was lost is an expensive and bittersweet project that will never end so the best i can do is continue... and sometimes {often when I am in the right mood} something new pops up along the way)... and Radical Enlightenment by Jonathan I. Isreal... The Pursuit of WOW! by Tom Peters, Diaspora by Greg Egan, Big Trouble by Dave Barry, and a few others sitting in a pile somewhere around this space... I love books... I miss my library...
