life in my mind

hey guess what? (so often that query precedes an obviously "it's about time" revelation or at least a bit of information that might inspire a "doh" from anyone who's become accustomed to using the word... anyway)... I finally finished the sixth book in Stephen King's Dark Tower series and now, as I figured, I want the seventh (and supposedly concluding) book which won't be out until November and that's probably why I let the sixth drag out for so long (it was easy since I seldom read paper literature at home, prefering to read web words and write my own) and I have been busy at work in recent weeks so not getting to read has been as easy as continuing to work and talk to the people around me (who are actually trying to become friendly and have arranged activities on a more than weekly basis lately, Thurday night enlightenment groups that include drum circles and monthly movies - tonight we saw The Manchurian Candidate, which was, I think, better than the original with Frank Sinatra that came out, ironically, right around the time JFK was supposedly assassinated by the possibly pre-programmed Lee Harvey Oswald and because of that, Frank, who was supposedly a good friend of JFK, pulled the film out of the theatres and killed it's chances of bring a perfect timing mega-hit... we could correct that artistic error if someone would just do Bush, but then, I wouldn't want to be inciting riots, , revolutions, or other satires)...

is that the FBI at my door?...

no, it was the post man with a box Precious was expecting... she mailed her clothes and stuff back here (she returned from her summer vacation this week) and they've been coming at the rate of a box a day, so the living room has been awash with stuff and the excitement of showing said stuff to me whenever I sat here trying to ramble on (the good news is she's not as addicted to TV actually stayed off longer than usual... maybe she's nurturing her intellectual side... she still doesn't have a computer or desk of her own... ahem, hint for dad... unfortunately dad is as think as a brick when it comes to acting on the hints, a skill he seems quite proud of when that fact is pointed out... we all get a good laugh at the art of procrastination practiced in our homey little space... of course since this is my diary, I get to mock and moan and laugh and point out all their flaws much more than my own and they'll just have to get their own diaries if they want equal time... all my teasing aside, it is good to have her home)...

so as I was saying, the master of the genre (whatever genre that might be and I think it's probably the genre than incorporates all genres, if there can be a name for such a genre) continues to build on his life epic work (as he hints that he may be done after this, which will have me considering kidnapping him and forcing him to continue writing... ummm, though I think without the breaking of bones this time)... genius must share...

did you read this?...

it has nothing to do with Stephen King, but then, it does reach me as deeply as the triple chocolate thingee I consumed earlier when I was out at the movies... yes, so we saw The Manchurian Candidate as I mentioned was planned for the last entry or few and it was good, so see it if you like suspense and intrigue and conspiracy theories... it too has nothing to do with Stephen King, but then, you never know what might appear in a King novel someday (or what has appeared and was missed the first read through, huh?)... I avoided the suddenly intimate depths of the words I just linked to quite well, I think...

you see, if you care, there's a heart beating deeply beneath all the sarcasm and cynicism and irreverence and words, once my most secure haven from the nightmares of life, can feel like slippery rocks (philosophy?... or is it sensuality?... ah, life in my mind... it is just so easy to distract myself when I am alone with my own words, but when I read... oh, when I read... sigh... maybe I need to rhyme... or something... like... that)...

of course I could just watch Resident Evil and distract myself with Milla Jovovich fantasies (is that what that was?... sharing within without you here, blessed am I to dream... sharing awaits, love without fear, belief is as it seems, trusting in our dreams, sharing mutual dreams... ah, thank goodness for imagination... for in these lazy lonely days and night alone, life would be, at times, so empty, boring, or even depressing without it)...
