just a lazy Saturday

besides the great designs (which I really like), you've just got to read this... it is one of best "about me" pages I've read (and not just cuz it makes so much sense to me and reads so simply profound)... you really know what you need to know about Dale to decide if you want him to be your friend or not... I do...

I was SPAMed at a guestbook today... I forgot I even had that guestbook... last time I was there was about five years ago... I wonder what else I put up on the web over the years that I've all but forgotten about... so many messages... so many bottles... so little time to remember...

Rilo Kiley The Execution of All Things continues to fill my ears with music... since it arrived via library mail a few days ago, it's usurped the current CD Stack... from the first song on the CD it hooked me... the sounds are wonderful... I hear the ice cracking... and that've got Rasputin's alarm clock in the title song... and the overall musical sound, it's eerie and asking me to listen deeper, more, closer, more... one more reason to love her all the more...

and it serves me right for lolly gaggling all week in my muddled work-week life and therein not finding time to head to LJ because good to her word, darling lism provided the songs in converted format that I got my lazy butt up out of the big green chair to move to the desktop where there's a DSL line and CD burners so I could download her gifts of music tonight (and there I shamelessly called her lazy when she's so cheerfully giving of her time and musical knowledge)... I am still quite jealous of her throng of fans and friends (leave it to me, I almost typed thong) and conversational comments (it's like walking into a room of close friends)...

and while catching up I found something quite amazing for the audiophile yet music on the web novice in me... so many links to explore when I find the time...

I love this idea, except, of course, if you love me you will send whatever you send to this address:

Candoor
PO Box 780398
Orlando, Florida 32878

I have no bumper sticker for you like the Don does, but I'll say thanks a lot and dream of visiting your favorite place to see what you love about it (hopefully that is incentive, not discouragement)...

around the casa de candoor tonight, the usual stuff goes on... Precious is on her computer in her room... everyone seems happy because I found time to fix the home network that was bugging out all week... Rasputin somehow had a few spyware programs on his computer, so I deleted what i could and downloaded Spybot (the best little spyware remover out there) to his computer and removed a trojan, several other programs, and a fake spyware program called iguard that actually infected his computer and then asked him to pay for removal of the infected files... Rasputin turned the TV on and left the room...

Tracy Ullman is on... another person I'd love to meet and play with... I love her energy (the child inside of me is inspired by her child inside that play acts all through her relatively one woman shows)... in the footsteps of Lily Tomlin, Gilda Radner, and Carol Burnett (who she ironically mentions after I wrote them here), she's got such an adorable personality... and the energy... now there's comedic genius talent just be being real and telling the story of her life on stage...

but nobody's watching the TV... I've got my headphones on... Tracy is competing with The Cure... and so I watch... and then I listen... and I remember... along with the five or six Virgin Prunes CDs that arrived this week, four or five Cure CDs also came through the mail... all of these I actually purchased like I used to when I was wealthy enough to afford ethics...

next time someone tells you to go to hell, ask them which one, and just what do they mean...

and what if you had a choice in the matter?

and since the library CDs that compose the CD stack must be returned eventually, I put The Cure on the shelf for a future Cure-Fest and head back to the stack and pick up where I left off, finally listening to Sarah MacLaghlan Live... maybe it was the memory of seeing her in Toronto live in 1995 that I was avoiding (but then, I was loving every moment of Rilo Kiley)... and these songs were not the songs she sang back on stage in Toronto in 1995... so maybe a random page might help...

take me memories were so much more wonderful when someone was around to share them and even better when someone stuck around to remember them with me... people just don't seem to stay in one place anymore... everyone who's ever mattered to me is so far away...

and there I go sighing again... lots of that going around these days, huh?... well, that's what having free flowing emotions is all about, rising and falling and enjoying every minute of it baby... maybe it's because it was just today that I wrote a story, or at least a rough draft of an outline of a story of a life as told by love (a very devoted, addictive, obsessive, deep, high, low, sad, happy love), inspired by a broken zen caused by a broken heart... because yes, we've got a choice, because we can...

while Sarah sings in my ears, somthing new came on the screen... S.W.A.T. (is that Ashley Scott early in the film as the girlfriend/roommate who moves out?... whoemever she is, now there's a reason to cheer up... I'm so easily swayed to the light, or is that the dark side?... in any case, it is time to get up and turn the TV off... maybe I'll buy a second remote to geet on the big green chair so that when they turn on the TV and leave the room I can turn it off without having to put the laptop aside and break concentration (as if I'm performing brain surgery here?)...

just another rambly Saturday in the life in black and white... I have other reading to catch up on (many others, in fact... and yes, emails to respond to... laundry to do... and general spacing out...

for whatever reasons (maybe it's a hormonal cycle or something), today has see very fluctuating energy levels... so as Sarah finishes up, I switch to Pink Martini singing Hang On Little Tomato and other songs in various languages and styles... and hoping I've provided enough (at least in linkage, if not in content) here to amuse and leave you feeling your time here was worthwhile, I'll just mosey on outta here without the usual fanfare or clever quips today...

ta... and ta too...
