Friday Feasts

so this is the Friday Feast... as with all the other prompts, much more time would be needed to get in depth with some answers and I should return when I am in a much more awake and creative mood to expound so the answers might be more interesting, or at least more revealing, but for now you have this entry called Friday Feast for your perusal and amusement (we hope)... it's long, so in the hope that I might actually expound one day (when the one who really wants to know comes along and asks, perhaps), I shall make it two, maybe even three entries... after all, there are quite a few Friday Feasts and each one is an entry in most diaries where Friday Feasts are included... technicalities...

and perhaps we shall see more of these prompt-type entries as I return to keeping a daily diary... feel free to encourage me, especially when I appear in any was discouraged for any reason...

Happy Birthday to the Feast!
Today is the first birthday of Friday's Feast. I'd like to thank all of you who visit each week to participate in this meme. I'm extremely pleased with the success of the Feast so far, and I hope to be able to continue to bring you 5 tempting questions each Friday for yet another year.

Appetizer
Approximately how many hours per day do you spend watching television?

watching, maybe ten minutes... hearing it on in the background, several hours...

Soup
Which colors decorate your kitchen?

white, light brown (boring apartment)...

Salad
Name 2 brand names you buy on a regular basis, and what do you like about them?

Feast Forty-Seven
Friday, May 13, 2005

Appetizer
Whose intelligence do you find intimidating?

no one...

Soup
Name something you've done that surprised yourself.

got fat, old, and lazy...

Salad
List 3 people whom you have only "met" online, but consider good friends.

like vegetables, three is not enough... check my favorites and my linkers and my entries that list places I've visited... most of the time I do not use the word friend in the way most people seem to use it... so friends who've not shared physical space, eye contact, the sound of voices, laughter, breathing, and the occasional bodily functions, may be called friends as long as the conditional friends who have not shared physical space, eye contact, the sound... ...functions, not to mention much time and many words of depth, secrets, and other very personal stuff, is clearly accepted as part of the definition of the word)... there are many who I would like to consider a friend online (and offers I would love to follow up on and others I kind of idolize and mention every few entries... if I did this answer right, which I may do when time permits, there'd be a few hundred links here)...

I reach back to the nineties (and to people I only hear from occasionally because of distance and my dumb way of avoiding emails) to remember Alro (that's two people) from Australia and MsGypsy from the West Coast as my first and oldest good friends online... and my newest friend online (soon to be in the flesh) is augustdreams (oh no, now they all know... and we laugh)... there are many people at DLand I would be honored to call good friend (and hopefully you know who you are, not just cuz you get mentioned in these rambles repeatedly), but I'll not completely cop out on the actual question and pick three, choosing the first three people I met here (and longest lasting continued contacts), Tim and Annie and Discordia, to represent you all and hope you don't run away and never communicate with me again...

this question leads me to wonder something only you can answer... which of you think of me as a good friend?...

Main Course
Where is the dirtiest place you've ever been?

NYC Subway...

Dessert
What is the best example of "perfection" that you can think of?

true love...
