2005-10-26 - 6:09 a.m. expanding entries this entry is the first expansion of the entry that was entitled something like soon to be several entries which was a dump of assorted scribbles and links that were accummulated during the first half of this week and uploaded just so you'd know that I was not gone, forgotten, withered away into nothingness and merely caught up in the daily life so much that coming to the computer and expanding on the accumulated links and notes and thoughts actually uploading entries was not happening due to lack of time... you did have stuff to do though, right?... well, now that you know that you can (and really should) join me in blog madness, it seems that listmania is overcoming any good sense or aversion to lists that I may have had for all the years I've been rambling on in journals or diaries on or offline... I started a 43 Things the other day... eventually, if I remember, I might get back to it... when I do, I'll link it on the left and have yet another addition to the Uber Narcissistic section of links to the left there... I know, you're all just overcome with excitement... all-consuming, no doubt... and just for that, I won't tell you just not that I'm considering an all-consuming list as well, not to mention the other 43 lists they have there... well, it seems like they will have 43 lists by the time they're done... and no, the fact that 43 comes right after 42 was not lost on this intrepid traveller of science fiction and fantasy... of course I've gone mad, but then, going blogmad is precisely what the doctor ordered... that's not exactly true... I mean, it's just a phrase... the doctor never even mentioned it, in fact, I don't thing she even knows about it or even has an online blog or journal or diary or website, even, but that doesn't mean you should not join me in blog madness... the doctor wants some chianti with my liver... anyway, I may actually be smirking just now, but it is merely a coincidence that smirk is the one who turned my on to the 43 Things site... there's always someone to blame for madness... just like you can blame me for your very own place in blog madness... right, so anyway... I want to visit iamlearning more often because she's working out and and reading about working out is hopefully motivating... she also reminds me of someone I loved... I wonder if she ever lived in Santa Fe... and what with my recent listmania, she's done a great about me page that might inspire even more self-indulgent narcissism (you've got your warning) and also cuz she really got me laughing... she's also really cute, but such superficial reasons seldom get me to return to anywhere which is why none of the Libboland names have links (but I should probably remedy that one day when I have time... and it's too easy just to save pictures if I really want to)... and wouldn't you know, just as I'm thinking from libido, I find babysmacks, which is probably not a site you want your kids to be visiting, but definitely appeals to the carnal side of my brain... yes, I think there's a whole side up there that's carnal, ok?... facets are fascinating... it dawns on me that I would probably have a whole lot more readers if I put pictures of scantilly dressed young girls in this diary... or your boys, for that matter... or a swordsman, even... of course I wouldn't necessarily call people who come looking for nude photos, or almost nude photos, readers, but you never know when a truly loyal reader who just happens to browse the web for porn might show up... why do you come?... speaking of the swordsman (oh, were we?), I took his survey... I took a whole bunch of surveys, even more as candora, actually, I think... I haven't visited them in a long time, years maybe, so if you find out anything interesting about me, let me know... I found iGod... you already know that, but this is the actual moment in babbling that it happened so I thought I'd just leave that line in here for posterity because posterity may be my most interested reader and I love interested readers... many have pointed out correlations between the Roman Empire and the American Manifest Destiny (which just might be what history books call this time of the world in a few thousand years when they find the artifacts buried in the dust), but there may be no more poignant proof that we are on the same track than reading roman graffiti... when you realize that the words were scribbled on walls almost two thousand years ago, you might see that human nature (in all it's self-destructive glory) has not changed much over the years and perhaps it becomes easier to believe the possibility that other empires existed thousands of years prior to the Romans, civilizations that are buried by the natural forces of the geosphere we call Earth after gradually succumbing to the inate self-destructive quality of being human... prehistoric does not necessarily mean backwards or savage... it could be that the most major advance in technology is the ability to record our presense here on this planet so each generation has concrete records of history... it could be that the carvings on caves were the graffiti of another time, the rebel yell of another civilization's youth crying out to be saved from the advancement of it's particular society hell bent on control and progress... on another semi-related subject... our ability to create records of our existence has taken a step forward as google maps comes along to impress me more than mapquest... you decide for yourself... perhaps the most exciting find in my wanderings this past week was a site that pulls up radio playlists from almost every radio station in the country... now when you hear a song on the radio and they don't tell you the title and author, instead of being haunted by the ignorance for hours, you can find the title and artist on radio playlists... yes! (so appropriately named, aye?)... and now, on with the rest of the catch up entries that you, dear most loyal and interested reader, have taken the time to find... I love you for this...
