the complaint department is open

I just love it when I find words like this...

I was supposed to call someone and I don't like the fact that I make a plan, however tentative it may be sometimes, and then let other stuff get in the way so it does not happen... I fell asleep during the entry that follows this paragraph... I was remembering more of what happened last week... I may have mentioned it in previous entries, in that marathon catching up session, but what the heck, I might have had something more interesting to say this time... anyway, I just got back from a long day out which can be the subject of the next entry cuz this entry was supposed to have been finished and uploaded last night, but I fell asleep in the middle of writing it, remember?... anyway, I was remembering that last week (cue dream sequence) . . .

we went to the movies to get out of the heat...

what did we go to see?... The Bourne Supremacy, that's it... see what happened was we were going to see a movie at the dollar theatre and eat at the Mexican buffet restaurant, but the buffet wasn't set up (we were too early) and so I drove around Winter Park a while to show Precious some of the estates there (except our view was obscured by a torrent for a while... the sky put on a great light show) and then we talked ourselves into going to Chipolte instead and then we went to DQ to finally try their new Brownie Batter Blizzard (but we both wound up ordering something else even though we've been talking about going there for that particular blizzard for weeks, at least) and then to the Waterford Lakes theatres which are much more comfortable and show first run films... as for the film, I found myself thinking of ways the film could have been made more intense and intricate while still enjoying it as it was... if you liked the first, see it... come to think of it (I don't remember if I mentioned it), last week The Manchurian Candidate was good too...

one of the things that impressed me most were the previews of Jamie Foxx... the brief glimpses of him in Collateral and Ray suggest to me that he's up for a Best Actor nomination this year and set for 2004 to be his breakout year... look out Denzel, Samuel L., and other intense dramatic actors, I think there's another star rising fast... and the best thing of all is where it's coming from... I like being surprised like this...

and so the storm cost a fortune... billions, they say... unfortunately, just a few hundred dollars worth of lost food and extra expenses was enough of a state of emergency for me to call out my national guard... and next month one of the twice a month car insurance payments is due, which would be five of those hundred dollar things... and the car payment, yeah, there's that... and the storage place, it's time for one of my bulk payments for that too... and then there are always the utility bills which are ridiculously higher in this apartment (compared to the old apartment) and in the summer... and then there's all the other expenses I'm tired of thinking about so this is where the complaints might stop, at least about this subject...

the car is broken...

well, yes, it's going to cost money too, but the complaints I'm hearing loudest in my head are the ones that see even more of my personal vacation time being sucked away by responsibilities instead of creativities...

he was a gardener
from days of old
forgotten memory
story seldom told
outlaw from neverwhere
if you may be so bold
to kiss a stranger
step in to the fold
the only danger
is being bought or sold
follow through in deed
with every word you say
you can not lose anything
you give away
you can not lose
what you give away

and all things considered, I'd really rather be in Philadephia ~ W.C. Fields

we interrupt these seemingly mindless dots for a word from (or at least about our sponsor (hmmm, sponsor?... what's the opposite of sponsor?)... anyway, now, as ado-less as possible, the word for you or andrew)...

you know that box to the right on the dland entry page called recent public entries?... what do the asterisks mean?... and the bold?...
