commenting on someone else's commenters

once again I present a wandering entry that is incomplete... this seems to be a pattern and the pattern of this patern may be to never get back to complete these incomplete entries based on previous patterns of incomplete entries in incomplete entries in previous diaries and even here behind the candoor...

what?...

yes, well, I don't have time to do the browsing that would be done to actually do this entry right, so I'll fake it and hope to amuse us even if I never find the time to return to complete this entry and all the other incomplete entries...

anyway, wherever you see a dot like this

. (shhhh, I am currently filling in the dots as you read)

there will be more to come... and probably everywhere else too...

what this is about is fairly simple, even if it's not been done before (somebody must have thought of it and done it, but I don't recall seeing it, so it's mine all mine! (cue evil mad scientist laughter)... I am going to visit everyone who left a comment for hissandtell (yes, this idea actually started back when I was singing her praises an entry or few ago and as has been the case with a lot of ideas and entries lately, I did not have time to follow through... I supposed, now in retrospect, I should have called this wandering 3, but then, what's in a name...

ok, so off we go a wandering along hissandtell's comments... and as we go we love to sing the praises of these varments (suddenly I am missing squirrelx... remember her?... she could weave a yarn with the best of them, that's for sure... she left Dland for her own domain and ... well, seems to have disappeared... I hope you're doing well out there, wherever you are)... valderie, valdera (omigosh, what a blast from the past that was... it pre-dated obladi oblada, didn't it?... do any of you have any idea how profound that is to me?... do any of you have any idea what I am talking about?)...

ok, back to this entry... now what we have here is jealousy... ummm, I mean what we have here is an entry based on wandering through the sites of those who left comments for hissandtell's last entry... it's gonna be one of those unfinished entries that require more time so I can visit the sites and get more impressions (not plaster casts) so I can be inspired to write something a little more meaningful than the next commenter was so and so and isn't she cool... of course this will be easier with people I've met and have read before... but all commenters for the last entry (that would be her last entry, not mine... I mean, I'd run out of commenters after a few... for entries the length we're used to here, I need to kidnap commenters from the likes of hissy {or maybe Gump}... I hope comments over there aren't reduced by this sort of rabid exposure in my madcap babbling)...

I'll be good... well, goodish...

here, look... my first thought about the first commenter is a very good one... I always find intelligent thought provoking reading (and amusement) when I visit acaldwell... a bit excitable, shocked at reaching 600 entries, and almost as certifiable as I am, but you will not be disappointed by the daily drivel... caldwell deserves more, so I'll call this a pause . . .

in part two of this bit we shall call in praise of acaldwell, I realize the obvious, that art is fun... and Art is fun too... and Art has art on his site... my kind of art... cartoons... sci-fi references (heck, he beams his site out into space... and now

I do too... you could not know how exciting that idea is to me... and not just cuz Rosewell reruns are on either... I know, I'm such a child... and loving every minute of it)... but there's more, there's odd facts (and some even ones too)... even recipes... he quotes the introduction to Superman in his profile... so many connections, it's like going home in a lot of ways... even in the fact that I should visit more... go see acaldwell, he'll amuse and enlighten you...

I don't know the next two commenters, but that won't stop me from finding a few random words to say about them... forty-plus says it's the truth serum decade... I am not sure what that means, but I like truth... and I found a new toy there just today... I remember doing this many years ago and am happy to find this... it's a way of knowing self and understanding how others perceive you... so if you will, if you care, if you feel you know enough to even make an educated guess, then tell me what you think of me (select from the words provided)... seems like the truth serum decade just might be about a quest for truth... I like that even more...

next up, greenwitch... greenwitch is apparently creaking, that is, greenwich has a creaking head... sounds spooky... I sense honesty there and that's definitely a good thing... even for me, it's sometimes not easy to have a lot to say without reading more... so for now, let's just send greenwitch love...

I know the next commenter a bit better and figure he can take my irreverence, so maybe this entry will start rolling now...

what can I say about Smed that hasn't already been said?... besides chasing scantilly clad high school girl ballers around the state of Indiana (now that ought to boost his readership, aye?... he'll explain) and being a musicologist of the first order (there's reason enough to wish he was a neighborhood friend so I could leech into his music collection and copy until my hard drive bursts {and then get another hard drive}... I know, I'm a selfish child... jealous, even) and having a warm family guy life with adorable kids, he's a fellow Soap actor in his spare time...

actually, none of us in the cast of an online soap opera have to do much other than encourage the author to continue while discouraging him from killing us off too soon while not guessing too much at plot twists (I don't think I'm a alien in the story... I'm still not sure about real life though) and all in all, Smed is is an admirable diarist I'd like to call friend...

hmmmm, that was more about other stuff than about Smed, so I owe Smed more time and we're still not rolling along in this ramble without consciously noticing... more to come...

. (this updating will continue)

maybe scotvalkyrie can help... surely there's been a lot of talk about high boots lately and there's nothing like a miniskirt over tight thighs to get my juices flowing, but we're here to write, not make juice, after all... and then I see Dr. Who and cartoons mentioned in the first few words I read and I definitely have an instant liking for Bonnie... well, I think her name is Bonnie... so I'll be back for more...

.

and then there's dangerspouse... how can I not ramble now?... sometimes, while dreaming of his musical life, I reminisce (and must remind myself no to drool... yes, jealousy)... when I grew up in NYC, wait, I'll rephrase... when I spent my early childhood and teens in NYC (cuz you know I've never grown up) I would have the radio on at all times, 24/7, unless I was listening to records or making a tape... I remember 45 RPM spindles that would let me be a DJ with my boxes of 45 RPM singles... and mix tapes were a way of life (losing those was losing a part of myself, alas)... by the time I got to Woodstock (well, down the road a piece) I was DJing parties and going to friends concerts...

"but music was my life,
it was not my livelihood"

Mr. Tanner - Harry Chapin

and I've always wondered what would have happened if I was not such a philosopical purist about mixing business with pleasure, if I had chosen to explore music as a career choice and not just a way of life... but I saw what happened to people who tried to depend on their paradise as a way of feeding themselves and surviving and I did not want to taint the purity, the innocent connection I had with music... and the Harry song quoted just above expressed the potential disaster that I thought I was avoiding by choosing another field of study that I loved...

but it was also the rebel that was a purist and selling out, making money from music was just unthinkable back when I was sure I was going to change the world by playing my songs for free...

but this path is drifting into more introspective depths and self-analysis than I intended in this entry (I am jealous, remember, not selfish... well, ok, I am selfish too, but not so much at the moment... at the moment I am kissing Dangerspouse's butt in the hopes that he and other people (I'm on Smed's list, yay!) immersed in musical lives will send me some of their musical vibs so I might be inspired to be born again in yet another incarnation of a musical child... or maybe they'll just add me to their favorites as a nice ego stroke...

but I won't let ego dilute this one... it does go so much deeper as those who've come close know... music was my life... I didn't need Carnegie Hall though... Broadway would have been enough... hopefully there will be other lives and I won't be such a rebel purist next time...

I don't need much... an audience of one, a partner in harmony, a musician to play along, to be half of a couple of musical kids in love with music (and maybe even each other), that's what I want most in this world these days... even more than thrilling sex, though that would be a nice icing... I don't want it to be was anymore...

aherm, so much for a light hearted romp through other people's worlds... see what a NYC DJ can do to me?... wait, I'll be doing Pink Floyd and The Moody Blues next... and anybody wanna throw a party and not let it end until we sing every Beatles song?... hey, singing parties with themed music, that would be fun (for me, at least)... we can reach back to the pre-rock days and move through each decade pulling out songs that fit whatever the theme for the party might be... got the music in you?...

yeah, there's a place for us...

I mean besides the madhouse...

what a proposal that would make... would you marry me and live happily ever after in the garden of a madhouse?... let's get institutionalized together?... and he thinks he is (or has?) a dangerous spouse... I suppose I ought to move along to the next commenter now...

ironically (I couldn't make this stuff up), the next commenter in line at Chez Hiss is allegedwife... told you I couldn't make this stuff up...

now poolagirl seems like someone you could just cuddle up next to with popcorn for a movie marathon... more to come...

.

I found f-i-n years ago (we're on myspace together... not that I've figured out what to do with myspace at myspace just yet, but heck, it's a nice place to visit... I did enjoy the idea of having music play on the profile and pages, but the module hasn't worked for me on my page for a while and I tried re-setting it and nothing, so maybe my computer just isn't up to speed for the myspace world yet.... but it's still great to have friends there and explore friends of friends, so feel free to add me if you're in the neighborhood)...

you'll know yarnsmith cuz she's the one with the daughter up for sale... I jest, she's not really for sale... but I do think of the old Herman's Hermit song Mrs. Yarnsmith you have a lovely daughter whenever I visit because she is lovely (and I don't jest)... her diary is the kind of place you feel comfortable kicking your shoes of and relaxing...

.

I'm out of time for hydrogeek, so tune in tomorrow...

.

stepfordtart is actually pretty sweet, but then, I'm biased cuz she's another in the cast of Rockin! (our own little Dirayland soap opera... at the moment it looks like Tart might be getting married (to Smed, that is, just as soon as they figure out what to do with Smed's soap opera wife)... so this is where they've been having their clandestined rendevous, in Hissandtell's comment room... clever nymphs...

.

witty is very appropriately named... though at times she might be a snarky kitty or a goofy kitty or even a snarly kitty, she's most definitely a awittykitty...

regular readers here know I absolutely adore Nicim... candora wants to run away with her... maybe we could meet in Rio as I seem to be on my way there as I type (at least the soap opera version of me bought a one way ticket there and seems to have actually gotten on the plane, though I am quite the suspicious character, I must say)... I'd have to talk her into joining the Rockin! cast (and talk the author into writing her a part, but I've heard that I can be very devious persuasive)...

Nicim is beautiful, romantic, and creative with wonder in her eyes and a limitless imagination that has survived all the social pressures that come with indoctrinations into our modern society (which is quite an amazing feat for anyone old enough to walk in these days of canned laughter, prefab lives, and thought police)...

you want to know real beauty?... visit her, love her, and watch her shine...

so as expected, I had a lot more to say about you guys already making yourself at home in the cushy bean bag chairs of my mind and hopefully the rest of you (and you, dear readers) know that does not mean there's less fun or profundity or value in visiting the other commenters residing at Chez Hiss in this particular entry (at least I think it was that one) randomly chosen to be the source of this entry being written right here before your eyes...

.

yeah, more tomorrow...
