this day slipped by trying to clear one of my clogged email addresses, but the server (big old ATT) was not cooperative... I am not sure if it is because the computer requires more memory to effectively use the server or webmail site or if it's something else, but it's time consuming and not succeeding and that is frustrating...

in the meanwhile (in an other worldly fashion), these thoughts enetered my brain as I put down the fifth book in the Harry Potter series (ready or not, let's talk Potter):

will Harry be an auror or work in the dept of mysteries?
will Harry be Headmaster or Minister?
will Ron survive?
will Hermione get together with Harry or Ron or somebody else or nobody?
will Hermione become Harry's McGonagle?
will Harry mature and apologize to Snape well enough for Snape to mature and stop carrying a grudge across generations?
will Voldemore turn out to be Harry's real father?
will anyone in the Potter books ever have sex?

there are oodles of other ideas bubbling around in the cauldron upstairs, but for now I put these in the pot on the back burner (a little closer to consciousness than the cauldren upstairs) and let them stew...

wait, I am about to start the last book in Stephen King's The Dark Tower saga and you know what happens when I slide back into that strange world (if I can only find the time to let the inspirations (and nightmares) bubble over and come out into words (oh, the hours {insert dramatic pause and then... extremely melodramatic theatrical vocal tones}, the hours {end drama}... the hours are so rarely available these days)... but I shall strive to focus and remember who i am and what I might be able to do, even if I am the only one reflected in the mirror of life when the tides finally pull me from the shores out to the seas of eternity...

and so anyway (returning to casual banter, of course), while I was drifting through potentials, a little closer to this planet, mind you, I pondered some changes I'd like to make at work, that is, things I would like to start doing at work (in fact I might consider another diary just for work, but then, there's the lack of time factor to consider so I am just pondering for the moment)... anyway, this is what pondered out:

work on music on day room computer
write an entry (mostly work related) each night
workout (yeah, get all sweaty at work)
eat oatmeal or something healthy each night

each idea has pros and cons and I'd be happy to discuss them with myself (or anyone nearby enough to have some knowledgeable impact on the real world offline) if and when I have time to actually get to the point where I am ready to implement them, but that's not today...

meanwhile Rasputin walks around the carpeted area of the apartement eating Tacos, which is distracting since I like to walk around barefoot and have to watch out for his droppings so I don't track them into my room or have sticky feet in my socks when I get to work (which would happen all the time if I went into the kitchen after a shower... yeah, it gets that bad sometimes around here... which is why I rarely use the kitchen for more than heating something in the microwave, which is in dire need of cleaning as well)... I really do not understand how people can live with week-old (and longer) food stains, filthy dishes and pots, rotting food, and crumbs everywhere (including in the fridge)... and never eat over a table except at a restaurant... unfortunately, this is what I woke up to after coming out of the shower tonight, so it needed to be written (cuz writing it lets it out of my head, if you understand the process)...

and then he goes to bed and of course the TV is on and Precious (dear that she is... and that's not even a little sarcastic) is bored and searching the guide for episodes of Friends and setting all of the reminder timers (and actually, this is a good thing because it keeps me from playing with the boob toob myself and turns me off to it's addictive eye candy and chatter even more than I am instinctively when I remember how much I enjoy other pasttimes much much more, so thank you Precious in a round about and kinda sorta squiggle-mouth smile way)... soon I will pause to listen to the events of her day (if she wishes to share), but for now I am nodding somewhat indifferently to comments about TV shows she's scanning through...

will I ever have an undisturbed writer's garret again?
