2005-09-29 - 2:35 p.m. blog madness I can hardly believe I read all of this entry just to find out what this was about in this comment about blogmad (where you should go sign up right now, because I'll get credits and more information and then I can tell you why we signed up... don'tcha just love my logic?... yeah, so go sign-up now... what may be worse (or a sign of my insatiable curiosity and inate ability to wander aimlessly around the web, or amazing boredom), I clicked on the second link, which is, like the first, supposed to be examples of what can go wrong with a, ummm, whatever this is supposed to be about... I think... and I learned, as I kind of thought, that a bunch of adults were upset with this guy because he was young (since they kept emphasizing his age right off the bat) and, well, I am still not sure what exactly they didn't like about him, but they sure appear to have tried to insult him a lot (to his credit, he didn't pay much attention to them and has a pretty impressive blog going about his journey to becoming a paramedic and eventually, if he continues to want to be one, a neurosurgeon)... apparently he made comments they didn't like on a ... something... upon clicking the this link and this, offered up as proof of the way some adults chose to treat a kid on a public shoutbox (shades of the negativity at blogathon), I sensed I was getting lost cuz I had no idea what the point of the comment might have been (but I persevered and continued reading anyway cuz, well, you know me, I'm on the road to find out)... name that tune?... it was about then good ol' faithful Microsoft Internet Explorer froze up again... first time today, and I only opened eight sites so far... such reliability is amazing, no doubt... I would love to see what history has to say about Bill Gates product in a few decades... start again... well, we'll come back to whatever this entry might be about (hopefully we'll know by the time we get to the end of it) after the next CD is finished copying and I shut down and reboot the computer because the world renowned browser has died again and will not open... so while we're waiting for the CD to finished copying, I could consider finding some dinner or... I could consider rambling on a bit... yes, it does take that long for this ancient computer to copy a CD... amazing what they built back in 1998, or was that '97?... hey, I'm not complaining... last summer (or maybe the summer before) I picked up this desktop as a spare computer for $100... I have the ability to do whatever it is I do on the web and at the moment, this is all I've got... so nice old computer... wish it could handle Foxfire, but nice old computer... come on, everybody now: gee thanks J I'm not sure just what to make of the story unfolding above, but my curiosity about this blogmad thing lead me to read the comments at the vault 9 blog because Michael (who left no contact info or address) said, right here in my very own comments that the folk at vault 9 are the developers of blogmad, whatever it may be... and you know me, ever the explorer... I see it compared to a blog exchange (whatever that is... I am guessing it is some sort of way to get people to visit your blog... but what I've seen so far reminds me of the old Usenet of the nineties, for better or worse) called BlogExplosion (I think... haven't found a link yet) and BlogAdvance (I just joined, talk about impulsive, huh?... I wonder what I get for joining)... anyway, reading this conversation between the ticklestapeworm and someone named Jeff who might be the owner of BlogExplosion has me wary of these blog traffic services and maybe I am mad for joining blogmad (oh sure, that will get you to go join now, won't it?), but I love the name and we already know I I am quite mad (which is probably why I love the name)... anyway (again), I guess tickle wasn't exactly tickled by this BlogExplosion service (and viewing his side, I can see why... but then, I don't know if it's all just a sales pitche for the other blog traffic service... it all seems seems so dramatic... you can click on the links and see for yourself what I learned... ultimately, I didn't learn a thing about blogmad (doh!), but as soon as I can open my email program and get my email from BlogAdvance, I'll probably be begging you to sign up there too... isn't this fun?... another freeze-up well, back again after another reboot, and a bit more browsing... and all that above makes a little sense to me now (how about you?... yes?... wanna explain it to me?)... in any case, I am still hoping you do the right thing and go sign up at the blogmad thing so I can get more credits (someday I'll learn what the credits are for too)... I don't know about the negativity out there, but it's out there and always has been (and anyone wqho's been chatting on the net for more than ten years knows this well)... but here lives hope and hope shall sing... besides, tickles is from Seattle and I love everybody I've ever met from Seattle... for what that's worth... it would appear that after random research I have discovered the possible father of blogmad and his name does not bode well for the service, however, being that it's mad, it may be just the right person for the job... I mean him... at least i think he's a him... anyway, let's meet the possible father of blogmad, the selfish bastard... as if that was not enough, it appears that: the creative group of coders, designers and internet entrepeneurs known as badc0de noticed a trend when it came to blogging and started investigating trends and trafficking. and just when you thought this entry was going to be single-minded (as if I could ever lose my mind in one place), it is time to let you know that I really like the idea of a boobiethon and I really really like this butt... a lot... that is all (for now)...
