and then...

and then...

if you can truly come with your mind wide open to the infinite possibilities, you may begin to see...

one line sometimes has absolutely nothing to do with the next...

the almost unbelievable irony of living in this cluttered space is only surpassed by the amazing discoveries created by my choice to allow my senses to ignore the details of this immediate environment... what in the world could that mean, you might ask... well, we shall see as the doscoveries emerge into concisousness when they do... they probably will, eventually...

meanwhile, Ice Cream Creatures arrived in the post this week and had much to do with inspiring the last few days as there simply was no time to sleep as the mental energy was compelling me to continue bouncing around the space singing random sounds and speaking in odd tones and doing what might be considered strange things (I played an intense drum solo on my head with two empty 24 ounce Code Red bottles and then juggled the bottles and assorted other objects that were just laying around (to the odd looks and laughter of Precious at times) and then the music called me back to sit and rest the body and space out again... and write... I did some writing, didn't I?...

and the library sent two CDs and a book in the mail yesterday, Alicia Keys and the soundtrack of The Punisher and some book of inspirational stories along the lines of Conversations With God that I do not remember ordering, but probably did as I do some random ordering at times... and just now I put on the soundtrack (assorted artists, something like twenty different bands, most of which I have not heard of, which makes listening very exciting for me) and find mostly hard rock or heavy metal (depending on how you categorize music) and see that I ordered this one because I wanted to hear Seether, especially since on the fifth track they sing with Amy Lee (and you may already know that I love Evanescence, even though they are not on this soundtrack)...

which leads to the stacks of CDs awaiting copying (and listening to) next to the desktop computer (sort of... organization is the last thing we find in this cluttered space where the rule seems to be if you leave anything in an easy to find place, you are wrong and we must not forget the other rule of spacial dynamics here at casa de candoor, if you put something back where you found it, where it belongs, or anywhere that may even appear to lean toward any semblence of logical order, you are wrong again... oh yes, and there is an important rule here that goes something like, it's ok to be wrong, all is forgiven... but if we are to reach down into the bottom of the rule bag (or book) to find the most important rule of all we would find, there are no rules, really, just odd suggestions and random stuff that might give the appearance of rules or order as that seems to be what people want and giving people what they want, or at least giving them the idea that they are getting what they want, or at least giving them the impression that you are attempting to give them what they want, or at least giving them something to think about other than nothing, obvious or not, so they can avoid the possibility that they do not like what they are getting is easier than constantly fielding queries and/or complaints, so here, take this rule bag and go in peace my child...

of course we often abbreviate the rules (when we are not ignoring them) and they all come out something like this: ummm, ok...

it all boils down (or evaporates into) above all else, do no harm which is further distilled into honesty without harm and therein affords the freedom to be as the whims and winds carry each of us through the experience of each moment with as little interference or discomfort as possible...

but we were referring to the CDs, I believe...

personally, I am looking forward to seeing just how Amy Lee and Evanescence equal or top their first recording... I think it could be quite a challenge to keep each song from sounding too much like their previoud songs as their sound is so unique... and also, when an artist starts out with the kind of emotional catharsis that is expressed in their first songs, maintaining such intensity can get old and stereotyped and they have way too much talent to be just a one-dimensional crying band begging for love and awakening and external caring... so there's the answer, they must turn within and come up with a few revelations along the lines of Aerosmith's Amazing... see, nothing is impossible...

anyway, what I was reaching for was the thought that there is a whoile lot of stuff around here that has not been explored, especially music in the form of CDs piling up in random stacks here and there in the space (though the primary preponderance of stacks do appear to be around the desktop computer and next to the big green chair)...

this CD is coming to a close and I notice that League of Extraordinary Gentlemen is on the toob and I've never seen it and do want to, however I did not want to stop listening to music or break the mood of the flow of words too much (though I am apparently allowing much influence and sidetracking and distraction and nobody is even awake yet outside of my head and, as we all know, the voices in my head are mostly sleeping or mostly dead, anyway)... so there is the visual of the film just above this laptop screen and the sounds of music passing through my ears and the primary focus generally coming back to the fingers tapping these oddly labelled keys in what may appear to be a relatively random fashion...

now that we're all caught up, where were we?...

ah yes, a discovery... beyond the wonder and excitement of the coming of the Ice Cream Creatures (not to mention the M&Ms and Code Red and pizza) and random audio-visual stimuli (League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, assorted artists and songs on The Punisher soundtrack and changing CDs, sudden appearance of Precious in the living room, waking rather early for a Saturday morning, and rising of the sun, to notice but a few), which may or not be distractions as they are all part of the sensory soup that inspires the flow of words today, and the reawakening of that part of my mind which notices and recalls the piles of CDs not yet listened to, the doscovery referred to somewhere above is a pile of CDs that have not been opened that came in the mail some time ago... the oddest aspect of this thought is that I do not remember just where these CDs came from... Annie?... Shannon?... goo?... anybody?...

stop laughing (yeah ok, in a minute)... think...

ok, so laughter abounds as I ask for help in figuring out just what is going on in my living space... I recall a box of CDs arriving along with lots of other stuff... I recall much excitement... I recall many days of candle light as the power was out... I recall more clutter than usual and random placement of objects (even more random than usual) into waterproof containers and stacking those containers wherever it seems like the roof might not leak... but I do not recall precisely who sent these CDs that were buried amongs other CDs and assorted stuff...

I do have the fifth Harry Potter book to finish, after all...

and just yesterday Precious asked about It's a Wonderful Life because it will be her school play this year and she has (I shuddered when I learned this) never seen the movie and does not know the story... we, of course, rushed out to the video store to rent a copy since my copies are way up north in hermetically sealed storage and that will be later today, especially since the library DVDs I took out for her last week are not past due and costing me a dollar a day, each...

but first I'd like to feel like I've finished this entry that had some point besides being the third made by human hands entry even though the original path of the first two has been left due to the sudden sleep that snuck up and swept me away about six or eight hours ago (I awoke comfortable numb in this big green chair with the warmth of the laptop on the pillow on my lap and the TV repeating the weather as it was left on again {along with lights, of course} last night by the last person watching and after listening to the latest hurricane reports I immediately reached for the current CD and started tapping on these keys... so this is technically not precisely where we left off yesterday, but is still somewhat a part of the quite manic flood of energy inspired, in part, by Ice Cream Creatures, penned mail, Harry Potter, Amy Lee, additional music, feathers and friendship...

among other things...

so now I shall (huh?) raise myself from this big green chair and reach for the pile of CDs that came in that box and start opening them and maybe later I might just reach for the stack of Harry Chapin CDs that are sitting next to this stack of CDs that I will be reaching for in a moment, but probably not as I do not have a week off or privacy space and I do not want distraction when I reimmerse myself into the full volume of Harry for the first time again...

one of these days...

but we shall start (perhaps the next entry) with the aforementioned stack of CDs (and perhaps see if the box they came in might be around here somewhere so I can properly know who sent them, but then, I do not want to get too distracted from the flow of inspiration that has emerged into the last few entries cuz massive missives and intense catharsis and amazing revelations are most definitely buried just beneath the surface of this random rambling and it would be quite good to finally get to them... there's always hope), so I shall be back when I get back, or in a moment, whichever comes first...
