all or nothing about me (religion, politics, government, me, you, a few friends, a little lust, and lots of links)

how many entries did you miss?

did you know I found God?...

I had a nice chat with him... not as clever or real as Alex's conversations with God, which, unfortunately, along with so much of her amazingness, seems to be temporarily offline (until it returns, go play this game that she turned me on to... and I'll still surrender my booty to her anytime)...

and how about the links on the left, did you notice that there are more of them again?... yes, a Sequel to my original 101 Things has been released... also surveys and other stuff got added... like there's time in this life to read it all, right?... wait, next entry I plug just a few of my other sites for anyone who wants to read about me, personally, I mean...

along the way this week (since we are still catching up, in case you just came in), this comment:

randomly popping by, all I've got to say about this is: it's kinda like crapping in your pants in a crowded theater and expecting nobody to notice...
was inspired by the Friday entry in brainster's blog that tells me about the President of Iran's warm New Year's wishes for the it's neighbor Israel... which holy book was it that's based on the "love thy neighbor" principle?... all of them?... oh...

Iraq 2003 - 2???: 2000 Dead...

and counting...

and are we still hunting in Afganistan?

I live a lifestyle of slow suicide
just to fit in around here
though I know better, I am denied
in this world governed by fear

and I've drifted so far from myself
that the real me can not be seen
and I've stopped caring about my health
so I can't actualize what I mean

and if I did would it seem like betrayal?
for I've tacitly approved of your ways
just to fit in around here
I live in a daze

oh

I hope it's just a phase

I've got a question for us all... do we really think semen leaves a more damaging stain on the American psyche than criminal behavior by those we trust with our country?...

just looking at the behaviors and resignations of people we elected to the highest offices in this land, seems to me that Democrats might have visibly looser morals, but Republicans put more actual criminals in the White House... did you vote for these guys?... you may even try to defend them now, like some still might want to defend Nixon and his criminals in office (it was called Watergate)... and all the rest of us can do is shake our heads in disbelief and say, "how could you?"...

or should we really forget?...

or forget what happens when we forget?...

wow, so many links, and it took just a few minutes to find them... there sure is a lot of political stuff on the net... which is just one of the reasons I don't put much of it out here... I don't want to forget, but talking about it, no less trying to remind people to learn from history about power corrupting, just seems a waste of time...

but never let it be said I didn't waste some time in my day...

for instance, a few years ago I put up some profiles online in the hope of meetime friends and the love of my life, or something like that... one of the sites was even called cybersoulmate, I believe... anyway, I found one of the profiles and in it I was asked how I felt about religion and law and government and this is what I said

Religion & Spirituality

Religion: None, but I'm spiritual (honesty, innocence, music, life, love)

Belief in spiritual concepts: Enlightenment, ESP, Auras

honesty, innocence (intending and striving to do no harm) is all I ask of myself and you... I'd like to believe there is a connectivity, a basic energy that connects and perhaps makes up all matter in this or any universe... I don't know how consciousness comes into existence or how it is personalized into individual identities or if individual identities continue beyond these physical bodies as we know life, but I'd like to think so... ultimately, it does not matter for all we have is the moment, each moment, and the best we can do is focus all of our energy on experiencing and sharing each moment as much, as honestly, and as harmlessly as possible... I believe in the romantic notion of committing to sharing every moment and everything as much, as honestly, and as harmlessly as possible that reaches into and accepts the unknown, whatever we might call it... I accept not knowing and love learning and do not pretend to know what I do not know... I welcome knowledge and understanding from any source that does not harm or try to control or eliminate other paths to knowledge.

Criminal Law

I believe in self-control... unfortunately, thousands of years of power hungry rulers controlling people have created a human culture expecting others to make decisions and tell people what to do, how to think, and what is 'right' and 'wrong'... I do not know how to change the self-destructive irresponsible ways of humans, I only know I do not want to be part of it so I live my life as best I can outside of the most common social ways of the world... maybe I have given up on living in an enlightened world in this lifetime, but I haven't given up on finding others who understand what I mean and who choose to live as I do.

Government

government is for people who don't know better... government is for people who are afraid to take responsibility for themselves and seek to blame others for their existence, their fears, their ignorance, and their troubles... government is for the lazy, the weak, the corrupt, the greedy, the control freaks, the people who do not believe in equality and sharing the resources of life... government is for the people who want power over others... government is for the people who do not have faith in others, people who believe humans must be told how to live and be... and in taking responsibility out of individual hands, government has allowed people to become irresponsible, unthinking pawns in a game played by the few who achieve power... or... government is the great board game of life, take your pick.

and I read the words today and find my opinions have not changed, though I'd like to think I have more hope than I did at the time I wrote that (it was a cold dark night in Buffalo, NY... Niagara Falls had almost frozen over... I thought of jumping from the bridge to the rock hard ice hundreds of feet below... wait, that's another story)...

ah, you'll just have to browse my web world to find the rest of that profile, after all, this is no dating site diary... but I'm not a total tease... some helpful links (for those of you who want a head start on the search for me in my written gardens, some links will be provided in an upcoming entry... tomorrow, perhaps)...

aherm, and other throat clearing sounds...

so being the wise looney toon that I am, I look for escape and sure enough, once again my darling Sippy has me wrapped around her world, or finger, or computer screen, or some such metaphor intended to mean I'm loving her blog... she actually makes sense to me... and I get the added bonus of being her Uncle Hubaboo, which comes with the fringe benefits of feeling closer to her magical mind and, when the lonelies attack, I can put on Tommy and Wicked Uncle Ernie Hubaboo and Fiddle About for a little while...

I know I'm perverse (and so do you if you've found some of my other writing haunts), but hey, it's all in my mind and means no harm and it does keep me off the streets, after all...

of course I won't hoard all the fun with Sippy for myself, you too can take a bath with Sippy and watch the bubbles slowly disappear (oh, the titilation, who could stand it)... but it's not her bathtub bubble-dance that hooks me on her diary, no siree Boob, it is the magic in her head... finally, someone who writes in my language... it's a wonderful thing, at least it is in my mind...

I wish you peace... yeah, like the Eagles said too...

and now, safely removed from political banter and the world of human aggression, I shall put on The Princess Bride... just because I've been avoiding my heart for long enough... when I was your age, television was called books... earlier, Rasputin and his new girl chose the video Resident Evil and you know (well, you would if you checked out my libido) how much I love looking at Milla Jovovich... but Princess Bride is a whole 'nother level where libido doesn't matter and the eternal ethereal dreams of unconditional love (that matters so very much more than superficial physical turn-ons, to me, at least, which is one reason I so casually tease so much about the physical) live on and on... not to mention so many quotable quotes...

like if you're ever faced with a task or choice that you absolutely abhor and to not want to do, just say:

"I'd rather be unemployed in Greenland"

of course you must know that when you find yourself facing something that is just too ridiculous to believe, but seems true nonetheless, you say "inconceivable"...

and if, but any chance, you do not know that, then you obviously have neglected your filmology and require more study... I mean, really, there are dozens of sites all over the net with Princess Bride quotes (just listen)...
